Γεια σας! I am a Greek native speaker and I live in Greece. I have completed my studies in mechanical engineering and recently got my Master degree in web security, big data management and simulation. In my free time, I like play sports, running, chess, watching movies and tv series and also I like photography. My interests include history and geography as well. I also like traveling in foreign countries, meeting people from different cultures and discover new places. Είμαι ο Θάνος, Μηχανολόγος Μηχανικός με μεταπτυχιακό στη πληροφορική. Μου αρέσει ο αθλητισμός, η φωτογραφία, το σκάκι, να παρακολουθώ ταινίες και σειρές. Επίσης μου αρέσουν η γεωγραφία, η ιστορία και τα ταξίδια.

Me as a Teacher

I would be more than happy to help you learn or improve the Greek language. I can help you with Greek grammar, which maybe seems a little complicated sometimes and of course to teach you a plenty of useful Greek words in order to be able in a short time to communicate in basic Greek. We can talk about Greek culture, Greek history and about everyday life and social aspects of modern Greece. Έχοντας ως μητρική γλώσσα τα ελληνικά μπορώ να σας βοηθήσω με την γραμματική, το λεξιλόγιο, την σωστή προφορά των λέξεων και φράσεων. Μπορούμε ακόμη να συζητήσουμε για την ελληνική κουλτούρα, ιστορία αλλά και γύρω από την σύγχρονη Ελλάδα και την καθημερινότητα της.

Thanos was a very helpful teacher who adjusted his speaking speed to my request. He left some useful vocabulary notes, and we had a fun conversation about different aspects about Greece and Greek people. I enjoyed my time practicing with him today!

Thanos is a lovely, engaging and knowledgeable guy. Our demo lesson was unusual (it centered around the Greek Civil War) but it was thoroughly enjoyable. Can't wait for the next lesson!
