STARTING MAY 30, 2021: Back to regular scheduling! More booking options on weekdays. Hi! My name's George and I'm a native English speaker from the southern United States. I study at a college in Kentucky, and language learning is a passion of mine. I have a neutral American accent in English, and have special experience tutoring people who speak Slovak or German as a native language. Me as a Teacher

I see the ideal teaching session as a conversation. I make sure all my students know they are in an environment where they can practice their English and improve it without fear of being judged. I teach by example, and will spend the first session getting to know you so I know what makes you thrive as an English or German learner.

My lessons & teaching style

I like to work with Native Content for learners of all levels, as this is the best way to become introduced to natural English right away. I will work with you to make sure we find you books, articles, and videos that are a comfortable fit for you. I also put a lot of emphasis into proper pronunciation, as that can be the make or break for making you understood in English speaking environments. For advanced speakers, I do more writing practice as homework in addition to speaking practice. I am well acquainted with the American higher education system, and am equipped to bring your writing to an advanced native-like level.
