Teaching has always been something I loved. I have spent many years voluntarily teaching both large audiences and on a one on one basis. Helping ones in the community to improve their family life and make other positive changes in their lives. I have seen the joy that comes to both the teacher and the student when good instruction is applied. I am TESOL certified and have started on a journey to help as many as I can to learn English. I believe it is important to learn another language. I am excited to have an opportunity to help students to learn a language that can help them in many areas of life. My lessons & teaching style
As a TESOL certified teacher I teach with energy and make use of pictures, games, and activities. Learning a new language requires much more than simply memorizing vocabulary. I make learning grammar and conversational English an important part of my lessons. Here is a sample of some of the activities I use:
To Tell the Truth: A student tries to determine which of three statements is true, they are allowed up to 21 questions to determine the facts.
Word substitution: A back an forth dialogue between the student and teacher in which statement is made. The next person repeats that statement and then changes one word.
Homework: Learn 50 words a week along with grammar structure.My teaching material
