Well, my teaching journey started years ago in South America. I packed my luggage and decided to go to Lima, Peru and worked there as a teacher. That was when I realised that I was born to teach. It was an amazing experience to know that I was making a difference in my students' lives. I learned a lot of things from Peru. This was also the beginning of my love for South America. After Peru, I decided to go to Colombia as a volunteer and worked with kids and adults in a library.
Now I knew that this was my dream job so I decided to take my CELTA and the pedagogical formation and I did Since than I have been working as an instructor in a university in İstanbul. My lessons & teaching style
No matter which language we teach, the most important thing is to know your students. Why does he/she want to learn this language? How old is he? What does he like? When you know the student you are ready to prepare your lesson accordingly! Nobody wants to listen to a lesson which is not interesting. A lesson should not be about grammar rules only, it should focus on communication & speaking. Most importantly, it should be FUN'My teaching material

Sibel is a great teacher. I worked with her for several weeks and really felt that my Turkish improved. We focused on conversational skills, and she really helped me come out of my shell and start speaking. I still make plenty of grammatical mistakes, and she is quick to catch them and correct them. She was also prepared with good topics for conversation, and I got to learn some interesting things about Turkish culture (November 10th at 9:05?! Blows my mind.) -- Book a lesson with her!

Sibel is such a great teacher! She really goes above and beyond. She is always prepared and very flexible to help me with my questions concerns. She is very encouraging and pushes me which I really appreciate!! If you hire her as your teacher, you will not be disappointed.

It's such a pleasure having Sibel as my teacher! I really like how she introduces new grammar to me and at the same challenge me on previous lessons. I'm also enjoying the "nice-to-know-knowledge" on Turkish culture. Overall, excellent teacher and pretty cool woman, would totally recommend her!

Sibel is among the best language teachers I have ever used (I have had many). She explains things very clearly and has a thorough knowledge of grammar and languages general. She is very encouraging and inspirational!
