About Me

I have been an English teacher for 12yrs and during that time I have taught students of all ages and levels. I have worked in an infant, primary, secondary, further education and language academy capacity, teaching both groups and private students. Most recently I have taught online, for business, exams and school. I have a BA (Hons) in Drama Studies, a TESOL certificate and an MA in English Language Teaching. Over the years I have taught general, school, exam and business English. I have prepared students for Cambridge, Anglia and Trinity ESL exams and also students studying for international exams such as SATs and IGCSEs. My lessons & teaching style
Language learning should be a pleasure, not a chore. I aim to help my students enjoy the process, even when it is an obligation in their lives, and my goal is to share my enthusiasm for language with my students. Classes are customised to the needs and interests of the learner, whether focused on one particular skill or working across the spectrum of skills that make up language. Focusing on a wide range of topics, classes use a combination of pre-class tasks to maximise the chance for the learner to practise and fine-tune their language use.My teaching material

Work Experience
2009 - 2013
English TeacherAt this school I gave English class to infants, from 4 month old babies to 5 year old children. This called for a different style of teaching that was much more physical and animated. It´s a style that has helped with teaching mature beginners too.
2009 - 2013
English TeacherThis was a half private local school. I taught classes of primary, secondary and 6th form for general English. I also taught FCE exam preparation classes and a reading project for phonetics in primary.
2014 - 2018
English TeacherI taught both groups and private classes at this academy for primary, secondary and university students and adults of all ages and professions. Classes included general English, business English and exam preparation, specifically Cambridge, Trinity and Anglia exams.
2017 - 2019
Online English TeacherAfter completing my masters in English Language Teaching, I put my knowledge to work by starting to teach online. I teach adults and some young learners, covering curriculum, exam and business English. All this from the comfort of your own home or your office.
