Hello, Namaskaram, My name is Ciya. Malayalam is my native language.I am passionate and creative teacher. I have done my Bachelor of Education and Post Graduation in Economics. I like to learn and teach languages to meet new people and to make new friends. Teaching Malayalam to students across the world has been an enriching experience.

Me as a Teacher

I have ten years of experience as a teacher in a school and eight years as an online Malayalam tutor. I am committed to teach any and all who want to learn, regardless of the level of proficiency. I want to learn about my students and their interests, likes and motivations. I am very supportive as a teacher and I try my best to keep the lesson going on smoothly and in a good atmosphere.

My lessons & teaching style

I would love to help you learning Malayalam language. My lessons are really flexible. I want my students to enjoy learning my teaching style can be described as student focused and tailor made. If needed by the student , I can send you materials in the language such as grammar, writing practice, reading and vocabulary. I am really open to help my students also outside the class.

As someone who grew up speaking Malayalam but never learnt to read or write thanks to growing up outside Kerala, becoming literate in the language was a longtime goal. I’m glad I found Ciya to coach me through this journey - she has been nothing but patient, prepared and punctual throughout! Learned a lot in just a few weeks. Highly recommend.
