Hello everybody! My name is Damla. I’m from Istanbul, Turkey. I’ve studied philosophy and classical philology at Istanbul University. I’ve been living in France for 2 years and I’ve been working as a freelance translator while I keep going my studies. Merhaba, benim adım Damla. İstanbul, Türkiyeliyim. İstanbul Üniversitesi'nde klasik filoloji ve felsefe öğrenimi gördüm. İki yıldır Fransa'da yaşıyorum. Öğrenimime devam ederken bağımsız olarak tercümenlik yapıyorum.

Me as a Teacher

I've lectured latin language for 3 years at a turkish university. Also, like almost everybody in here, I’m interested in learning foreign languages, and since I’ve personal experience of teaching Turkish to some of my foreigner friends, I’ve decided to share this experience with you. Türkiye'de bir üniversitede 3 yıl boyunca Latince dersleri verdim Bunun yanı sıra, İstanbul'da yaşarken çevremdeki bazı yabancı arkadaşlarımın Türkçe öğrenmelerine yardım ettim.

My lessons & teaching style

If you’d like to learn turkish with me, I’m going to prepare a plan according to your level and your aim to learn turkish. I can offer speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar exercises. I’ll provide different sources during our courses. I like to talk about turkish & world literature, cinema, politics, culture, history... However, if there are specific things that you would like to learn about, or if you have your own program and would like me to use that, this is fine as well

I loved the lesson. Damla is a patient, immersive and also a funny teacher. Really felt comfortably in her teaching me. I would give her six stars, but italki wouldn't let me. I'm really enthusiastic in getting more lessons! So wanna learn a great language? Stop looking for other tongues and go learn this beautiful language from Damla.
