About Me

***PLEASE NOTE: I do not teach kids or anyone under 18*** Hello! My name is Sara and I'm currently an English teacher living in Tokyo, Japan. I'm originally from Wales, a country in the United Kingdom. My hobbies include travelling with my husband, watching animated films, trying new food, and talking with new people. Since coming to Japan, I've become more interested in history and geography, so I'm happy to discuss those topics with my students. If you have any questions about life in Japan, please ask me.

Me as a Teacher

I have been teaching English as a second language for almost 4 years now. I have experience teaching conversational English to all kinds of people. This means that I can help my students improve their communication skills. I always try my best to make sure that my students are enjoying themselves while practising and learning English! I aim to make my classes as fun and relaxing as possible. If you have any questions about my lessons, please ask me - I'd be happy to answer. I enjoy being a teacher because I like helping people. I think teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs a person could do, especially when I get to see all of the amazing progress my students make!

My lessons & teaching style

I can currently offer free conversation lessons, which are good for students who like to ask lots of questions, or for students who would just like to practise having a casual conversation in English. PLEASE NOTE: - I do not teach kids or anyone under the age of 18. - If students are 10 minutes late (without any notice before the lesson) I will automatically ask that we reschedule the lesson or issue the student a full refund. - If a student doesn't show up for two lessons in a row, I will no longer accept lesson requests from that student. Thank you for your understanding.
