I'm glad to help people acquire a new language for their different purposes. I enjoy learning other languages too, so I understand the different approaches different people can take. I've got experience living and working abroad with a big variety of people, teaching them general English and Spanish, and also Technical Spanish and Business English. I have also prepared students to pass international tests like DELE C1, B2 and B1 (Spanish proficiency test) and PET, KET and FCE, individually and in groups, abroad as well as in my country. I graduated from Universidad de Concepcion, Chile. There I studied a B.A. in English Teaching, which also provided me a Teaching License. Two years after graduating I entered a post-graduate programme in Spanish Teaching as a Foreign Language. I worked for three years in Chile in universities and language schools, and from 2010 to 2016 I lived and worked in Moscow, Russia, There I was an English and Spanish teacher in language schools and a private tutor in both languages. In 2015 I started teaching online through a Russian agency that allowed me to change the way in which I taught my private lessons. I already have 3 years of experience teaching online, but only with Russian students. My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are based on topics, because it influences the communicative activities we will develop during the class. Depending on the level of the student, the topics can include more in-depth activities and language contents. In initial levels I try to follow a more strict use of language functions, in order to build a learning structure. In more advanced levels, I try to give my students more freedom to use the previous contents learnt in the course, emphasizing effective communication, or the completion of specific objectives.My teaching material

I have talked to many different tutors all over the world on Italki (pues, soy una parlanchina!) and Ricardo is one of the best if not the best that I have encountered. His grammar explanations are excellent, I find that his explanations make sense to me when nothing else does. I highly recommend him as a tutor!

As a native English speaker learning Spanish who has tried a few tutors across Latin America I can't recommend Ricardo highly enough. He immediately found my level and was able to kick it up a notch. Not only that, his style is engaging and that makes the learning process a lot more fun than simply relying on DuoLingo or Rosetta Stone. If you have serious ambition to be an accomplished Spanish speaker then hire Ricardo as he'll take you to the next level and keep you accountable so you reach your goals. -Jake
