About Me

My name is Raphaela Elias, I’m from Brazil and I live in the United States. I am a certified Spanish Teacher by the State of Georgia and I am currently teaching in a Public School. I have been teaching Portuguese and Spanish for 8 years. I speak Spanish from a very young age and in my teens, I began to take an interest in Italian and French. In addition, I love talking about diverse topics such as music, travel, literature, movies, art, and politics. I consider myself a very sociable person who is always willing to help others. I love traveling, meeting people from different places, and sharing linguistic and cultural knowledge, so I had the opportunity to live in Lima.

Me as a Teacher

I am a teacher of Portuguese and Spanish for 8 years, I have worked in prestigious institutions in Brazil, Peru, and United States. I like to work in a dynamic, fun, and conversational way. In addition, I try to create a pleasant environment so that the student can develop, practice languages, and feel part of the teaching-learning process. I am a professional who always thinks about the priorities of students, is accessible and sympathetic to everyone.

My lessons & teaching style

My classes are 100% designed based on the needs, objectives, and requests of students. I’m prepared to teach from basic to advanced. I prioritize moderate communicative methodology, using mutual communication from the first day of classes. In addition, I use different types of playful-didactic and authentic activities, such as songs, videos, literary texts, among others, for better development of the necessary skills to learn a language, listening comprehension, oral expression, written expression, and reading comprehension.
