About Me

Hello everyone! I am excited to join the team at Italki tutors! (soon to be professional). Now, a bit about me... I am a French native speaker. I actually live in the South of France and I am currently studying an English literature, civilisation and linguistics Masters degree at La Sorbonne in Paris, to become a translator. I am also studying DFLE as a double master degree to become a French teacher for foreigners alongside my translation studies. I also lived in Germany and England for 10 years, so I can explain subjects to you in English and German to ensure you have understood the French lesson :-) I also spent 3 years in Barcelona, so I can explain with a bit of Spanish too ;-)

Me as a Teacher

I decided to start the Italki adventure for 2 reasons : I love my French language, I think it is beautiful and secondly because I actually understand the difficulties you are facing by learning a foreign language.. I learnt German alone with a CD method, then I decided to take lessons with a teacher, which was the best idea! So if you are tired of learning French alone with your CD's, come and join me ! I taught French in England, Germany and Spain where I was teaching to one on one for about 10 years with teenagers, adults and academic students of different levels, to which I adapted my lessons to achieve their goals. For me, teaching has been a wonderful experience!

My lessons & teaching style

As your teacher, I will focus totally on your goals and I will give you lots of flexibility with your choice of learning (videos, audios, texts etc..) and about the topics you wish to talk about! My lessons are student centered, based on oral French which includes : speaking ( yes ^^ talking ..) listening, pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary and I'm saving the best till last... grammar! Everything with of course... a great correction in context ;-) I also pride myself on talking naturally so that you are confronted with real and authentic speech, and of course I will slow down if you need it :-) I'll use the 100% FLE methods which will make the learning process structured and fun!
