Carmen is really an amazing teacher. She mixes fun conversation with grammar practice. She really wants you to learn and improve and pushes you but does so in a way that keeps you engaged. She also keeps track of and corrects your grammar errors at the right moments in the conversation or exercises.

Carmen has become a pillar of my Spanish studies on Italki. So far, I have completed twenty classes with her. They would start out with conversation (sometimes an intense discussion of recent events) and then focus on a particular grammatical problem that I revealed to be having while talking. Her explanations are thorough, easy to understand and usually supported by additional material (tables, examples, exercises, etc.) in our shared Google Document. I will be missing my classes during the summer break, but, of course, I wish Carmen the best for a well deserved vacation.
