Hæ hæ og gaman að kynnast þér (Hi hi and nice to meet you)! My name is Óskar Bragi, and I teach Icelandic. I am not grouchy, growly, or grimacing. Not a typical Viking warrior, exactly. :) I can be serious, and I will say that I seriously love what I do. - I love helping people - I love introducing them to my country, my culture, my language - I love teaching in an unconventional and unique way I focus on keeping things simple,, fun and practical - in order for you to get the most and absolute best out of learning Icelandic! My teaching methods follow this model. The model of exposing yourself to the language - that means speaking it, listening to it, writing in it.

Me as a Teacher

Are you: - New to learning? - Looking to simply learn Icelandic for fun? - Do you want to take your existing skills further? Whatever the reason, I want to volunteer to be your guide. I know that it can be difficult and frustrating to learn Icelandic all on your own, with no guiding or coaching. The task may seem incredibly difficult at first. Have you been putting off your language learning journey because you’re afraid that the language is just too damn tricky to master? Well, lucky you! Because my lessons are geared towards solving your problems and get you out of this pain and into pleasure!

My lessons & teaching style

Examples used in lessons apply to real-life situations. I frequently use the KISS*-rule (*Keep-It-Simple-Stupid!) to simplify the learning process and tailor it to your specific preferences! If you feel like you‘ve been putting off the task of learning Icelandic for too long already, let me tell you that there‘s no time like the present to jump in and start!
