My extensive professional and personal background in linguistics, which has encompassed 10 years of study in 9 foreign languages, has provided me with a holistic insight into second language acquisition. Furthermore, my professional ballet training provided me with a unique insight and perception into how dance and language learning overlap as means of expression, where the ability to pay attention to body movements, transitions and music has strong parallels to the skills required to excel in speaking, listening, writing and reading. I've more than 2 years of teaching experience and during my carrer as a Spanish teacher I've taugth students from basic levels (A2) to advanced levels (C1), in this period I have adquired the skill to prepared my students to exams like DELE and OPI. I've helped my students when they've needed to move to countries where Spanish is the native language or just to travel. My lessons could be structured depending on my student's individuals needs and interests. I have been a modern foreign language teacher (French, Spanish, and English) for nearly two decades. I started my teaching career as a business language instructor in the oil and gas industry before moving to teach in international schools in 2004. Since then, I have worked with children aged 3-18 (i.e., pre-school through high school). I am state certified to teach French, Spanish, and English to students of all ages, and as part of that process, I have passed state, national, and international background checks. For over a decade now, I have also worked as a trainer for modern foreign language teachers and to date, I have trained over a thousand teachers in more than sixty countries.

I decided to become a teacher because I like to make a difference in people´s lives. Asimismo, pienso que es vital para el aprendizaje que los profesores amen lo que enseñan para que este gusto se transmita, y en mi caso, amo el idioma español, de modo que para mi es fascinante compartir mis conocimientos sobre mi idioma nativo.
