I would describe myself as a supportive teacher, who likes to help students achieve their goals. I like to teach in a fun, yet challenging way which really allows students to grow in confidence, and to maximise learning! Je me décrirais comme un professeur encourageant, qui aime aider ses étudiants à réussir. J'enseigne dans une manière amusant mais aussi plein de défis qui permet à mes étudiants de développer de la confiance en soi, et de maximiser leur connaissances !

Je suis une professeur passionnée ! J'ai enseigné ( i taugh) le français dans des écoles de langues (Alliance française, France Langue), dans des lycées (high school), pour l'office d'intégration et d'immigration. J'ai travaillé en France et à l'étranger ( Irlande, Espagne, Népal). Je suis une professeur patiente, bienveillante et je suis là pou vous guider et vous soutenir dans l'apprentissage du français.

J'ai une licence de Lettres Modernes avec une spécialisation dans l'enseignement du F.L.E. Cela m'a permis d'avoir non seulement une connaissance théorique sur la langue française mais aussi didactique. J'ai également un diplôme AMI Montessori qui influence énormément ma manière d'enseigner. J'ai d'abord enseigné à la Croix Rouge à des adultes migrants pendant un an. Cette expérience m'a vraiment confortée dans l'idée que ce métier était fait pour moi. J'ai ensuite travaillé dans différentes écoles maternelles. Depuis deux ans, j'enseigne le français dans une école à temps partiel à des enfants de 3 et 8 ans. Le reste du temps, j'enseigne le français en ligne à des adultes de tout niveaux.

My priority is to help you improve your communication skills. I will make sure you learn the 3 languages I am fluent in, i.e. English, French, and Arabic. It is worth noting that learning a new language is also about discovering new cultures and exploring new horizons. I teach from my office, where I have high-speed wifi, HD camera, whiteboard, marker pens, flashcards, and many other teaching materials.

I've started teaching in 2012 as a student, I was teaching online and in-person and then I opened my language center in 2015. I studied English at university for my Bachelor's and then I studied linguistics for my Master's. I love learning and I am constantly working on improving my teaching skills by taking lessons and staying up to date with the latest in language teaching and language acquisition.

I've been teaching on italki for more than 3 years now. I currently teach both online and face-to-face in Speak Up French the language school I founded. I have helped hundreds of students improve their French skills and I have specialized in teaching intermediate and advanced students and in exam preparation (DELF DALF TEF TCF) with 100% rates in 2019 and 2020. - I can give classes from beginner to advanced levels. My classes are well planned and structured but I do adapt myself to your goals and needs. I can for instance explain you French grammar and make you practice it in a real context, we can also work on vocabulary or pronunciation. What is really important to me is to enable you to speak or write! I like to start from a text, a newspaper article, a video, a podcast and have a conversation on them. My Spanish lessons have CLEAR goals, unlike most iTalki lessons. Most students continue with a teacher until they get bored or realize they are not improving fast enough, and then they move on and repeat the process again with a new teacher. Then, 2 years later, they wonder why their Spanish hasn’t improved much. Does that sound like you?  I'm NOT about having fun.

As a teacher, I like to take the time to explore your own learning style in order to foster a better learning experience. I believe my expertise helps me guide you towards better foreign language practice - it is through communication, accompanied by bits of the necessary grammar, that progress is achieved. It's important as well to stimulate your curiosity and base my courses on up-to-date, relevant topics ; I enjoy making my students work on hands-on projects (creating short videos, making short blog articles, etc.) as I believe those are activities that promote effective, real long-time learning.

Professional experience: - Primary schools - Secondary schools - Colleges - Higher National Diplomas - preparation for Interviews, Conference Calls, etc I focus on assessing the needs of my students, defining objectives for improvement and working at it. I do not fall into the category of teachers who do intensive training for exams, simply because I do not like the pressure that comes with it :-) and also because I honestly do not have enough insight into the different exams. However I am a language trainer, and my motto is progress.

To me, learning should be exciting and not boring! It should come together with learning about the culture and the REAL FRENCH LANGUAGE talked everyday by French people, not only the one you find in books. I started teaching as I was finishing my Master degree back in 2012. French is my mother tongue, and when I share it with people, it make me happy and proud. I love being French teacher because I always know new people with different ideas and backgrounds. I'm fond of learning new langages too. Actually I can speak English, Spanish and Chinese quiet fluently. I'm currently work as a teacher in a langage school in Taiwan. This experience gives me a rich and deep understanding what the students need to being able to speak French like natives! I think I'm a very patient and kind person; I love help students in their learning journey.

I teach general French to all levels as well as exam preparation (I'm a certified examiner for the DELF/DALF exam). If necessary, I can give you detailed explanations in English, Spanish, Italian or Japanese, but I'm confident that you will be able to have a full lesson entirely in French.

I believe that speaking is one of the best ways to ensure that you remember and reuse vocabulary and grammar in the long term. Thus, my goal is to hold conversations with you in your target language as much as possible while adjusting to your level - of course. My experiences abroad provided me with a wealth of exposure to people of all walks of life, many different cultures and different languages. Those made me deeply aware of the difficulties of language learning while in immersion, and I would love to share what I learned through those challenges to assist you in your language learning journey!
