I have 3 years’ experience teaching Spanish in formal and informal ways, to young and adults with English, Portuguese and Italian backgrounds. I have approximately 17 years of formal and private Spanish teaching experience. I am very sensitive to the needs of the student and I try, from the first moment, to inspire confidence in their own learning. I really like working from a lexical approach, as well as dealing with aspects of listening comprehension and prosody (cadence, intonation curve, rhythm, etc.). I think I am the perfect teacher for those who are at an intermediate or advanced level and need to communicate more complex or specific content, such as those from the business field or those from work, professional, or academic settings.

I think the most important part of teaching is human interaction. It is very important to me to place students in a comfortable and trusting environment. It is also very important that you speak ... the more you speak, the more mistakes I can find and the more new expressions and pronunciation tips that can be taught. I am patient and friendly: the main and most important reason to take this type of lesson is to find an opportunity to practice. Since I am 16 years old I worked teaching little kids English to help my parents pay for my studies. When I turned 19 I had the chance to travel to the US and live and work in Hawaii for 4 months, and that's where I could master English at an advance level. I studied Management and Tourism and because of my career it was a requirement to speak English fluently, that's why I decided to not only teach English, but to teach Spanish to tourists that came to my city either for work or for tourism. Now, I want to be able to keep teaching many people from different countries and help them improve their Spanish in the best way possible.
