I discovered I wanted to be a full-time teacher when I moved to Poland and started to teach sporadically. After I came back to Spain I took a course on teaching skills and started to teach independently. And I loved it! The more I tough the more I liked it... and I still love it. I have helped many students over the last 6 years to be confident when speaking Spanish. My area of expertise is verbs and conjugations. So if you need help understanding the different kinds of past tenses to be sure I have plenty of resources to help you with that. I have helped many students to successfully use past tenses. When it comes to my personal qualities I would identify as very patient and supportive.

Both my parents were teachers so I guess teaching is in my blood. Whenever a student reaches a goal, speaks fluently or passes an exam, it makes me so happy and so proud of him/her. It's as simply (or complicated) as that. As a student of many other languages I know the struggles the students go through, so my job is not only teaching the language per se but also identifying these obstacles and help the students tackle them

I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language for twelve years. I've lived many years outside of my country and, therefore, I know exactly how it feels to live in a place where a language other than your own is spoken. On the other hand, my experience as a student of English, Portuguese and Hebrew, helps me to understand the process and the difficulties in acquiring a second language. I studied Social Communication, precisely because I have always been interested in interacting with people and I am also a Senior Technician in Tourism.

I decided to become a teacher when I was in the university, since I often studied with my classmates. I like to share my knowledge, and that's why I chose the teaching vocation. After I graduated, I did a teaching component and I had the opportunity to work in some educational institutions in Venezuela and other places. In this work, I also gained experience as an administrative assistant. In my teaching, I specialize in Spanish and drilling, two subjects that I have learned very well during my university studies and career.

I can easily adapt to the student´s needs and preferences, always maintaining a structure and organization based on the knowledge I have gained in my career. As an encouraging teacher, I believe that everyone is able to learn a language, especially if the lessons are tailored according to the individual performance, but also challenging the student to reach the next level. I strongly believe that language is one of the most important intercultural skills. Therefore, I design my lessons with a great emphasis on culture and relevant global issues, taking into account of course the student´s interests.

My goal is for you to become *proficient* in the language - versus being able to recite grammar rules or memorized phrases. I believe humans become proficient in a language as a by-product of being engaged in communication. This means we learn a language when we understand it and when we communicate meaning. My teaching is based on a contemporary communicative approach that is informed by current research on Second Language Acquisition. I incorporate techniques from TPR (Total Physical Response), TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) and task-based language learning.
