I have extensive experience working as a Certified Accountant in large corporations and I have taught Spanish for Business to executives. I know about finance, marketing, accounting, and sales. I spend more than three years dedicated to teaching Spanish mainly with initial levels, with Spanish for business, since I have also taught technical classes to adults and teenagers. I am a very patient and helpfull person so I will always make sure that you feel as comfortable as possible while learning the language. I also like to teach according to the persons level of the language, so the lessons will be tailored to each student specifically. After being PR of AEGEE Santander I found my vocation in teaching my language, so I decided to take a course to certify myself as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language. I am currently studying another University course to become a translator. I also work as a Spanish proofreader for an editorial.

I know very well the difficulties of learning a new language, and how that affects every student in a different way, that's way I prepare each of my lessons, making them both fun and very educational; mixing conversational, grammar and practical approaches, always tailoring them to your needs and preferences. I have much experience teaching from the very basics and also preparing students for their DELE/SIELE exams. I can teach you a neutral type of Spanish which you could use anywhere (remember there are more than 20 countries and 400 million Spanish speakers in the world), or also teach you the specific Chilean dialect if you need it, as it can be one of the hardest to learn among all.

Considero como punto fuerte que mis habilidades comunicativas son bastante buenas, basadas en una escucha activa y permitiendo a los oyentes participar sin miedo a cometer errores. Además, la gente suele acabar sintiéndose cómoda conmigo rápidamente por la naturalidad del contexto de aprendizaje, intentando que sea lo más familiar e individual para cada persona, atendiendo a sus características particulares. Me considero una persona bastante paciente y cuidadosa con las personas, al fin y al cabo, mi profesión lo requiere. Y sobre todo, soy un profesor dinámico y divertido, eliminando la relación excesivamente formal de profesor-alumno en cuando a su definición más conservadora.

Ser estricta no es mi manera de ser, pero sí me gusta poner atención a las personas con las que hablo y que de la misma manera me escuchen. Hacerme entender es un gran logro para mí. Being strict is not my way of being, but I do like to pay attention to the people I talk to and who listen to me in the same way. Making myself understood is a great achievement for me.

I'm a very flexible teacher. I truly don't think learning a language while suffering is a good idea. I want you to speak as much Spanish as possible but I understand students' limits. The idea is to make you speak more and more Spanish with each lesson so you feel more comfortable with the language. My lessons are based on the students' needs, according to the level I'll choose a topic/grammar, but I also love opinions, suggestions and questions! If you want to practice something in specific or you have a question about a specific grammar that you saw/heard on a TV show or an article, I'd love to work with that too :)

I´m upper- intermediate in English so we can switch in case you need it. And also because of my previous experience I´m used to hear different accents during my classes.

¡Enseñar español me apasiona!. En el año 2020 realicé un diplomado en "Pedagogía y Didáctica para la Enseñanza de Español como Lengua Extranjera" en uno de los institutos más reconocidos de mi país. Durante los años 2013 y 2014 enseñé español a personas de diferentes nacionalidades en la modalidad virtual que tenian un nivel intermedio y avanzado del español. Me interesa generar conversaciones agradables y comprensibles con mis estudiantes en las que hablemos sobre las diversas culturas del mundo, escuchemos música en español y practiquemos cada una de las competencias del idioma.
