I teach italian since 2015 and portuguese for foreigners since 2010. I love languages and I'm happy to share a little bit about my mothertongue and my culture with people from other countries.

I have been teaching English to Brazilians for over 15 years and I have taught Portuguese to speakers of other languages as well. I have a degree in Languages, the Certificate in Proficiency in Englsh and the CELTA (Teaching Certificate) from Cambridge.

Nas minhas aulas o meu foco é a prática da comunicação e expressões idiomáticas: poder falar com espontaneidade, fluidez, clareza, poder argumentar, fazer perguntas, ter o conhecimento de gírias e expressões de variadas regiões e principalmente conquistar a confiança de que sim, todos somos capazes de aprender um novo idioma, sem forçar o aprendizado, de acordo ao ritmo e a maneira de aprender de cada um(a). O fato de eu ter nascido e crescido entre duas culturas me fez perceber as diferenças, mas também as semelhanças, e o quanto isso pode vir a nos contribuir ao invés de atrapalhar :)

Estimulo e incentivo o aluno a exercitar a escuta e a fala; conversamos sobre assuntos variados, tornando a aula um momento descontraído e agradável. Acredito que a conversação seja a melhor forma de aprender um idioma. Considero que os erros são sempre bem-vindos, pois é através deles que o aluno evolui no aprendizado da língua. A partir de erros, correções e acertos, eu e o aluno vamos construindo juntos o seu vocabulário e o seu conhecimento da língua. Até que, quando ele menos espera, começa a construir frases em português; exatamente como foi o processo de aprendizado da sua língua materna.

I endeavour to help my students to achieve their upmost best, by assisting them in developing their Brazilian Portuguese prnunciation. Inasmuch as I'm an easy-going humorous person, my methodology helps my students to get to grips with my native language, thus, inciting progression, through my wholehearted work ethic.

Quero saber suas dificuldades, necessidades, gostos e motivos para aprender um idioma. Num processo de ensino-aprendizagem, é importante organizar as aulas para os alunos e não para mim. Quem deve ter os holofotes são os alunos e, portanto, busco possibilitar espaço de interação e que suas necessidades sejam reconhecidas como importantes.
