I am a new language teacher, but I like to teach and, as I am also a student, I can understand the needs of the students and I know that one of the main needs is to ask about any kind of issue, so I will be available to answer any question, because I want the students feel comfortable to learn in my classes.

As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. I'm confident that any process of learning a language is based on confidence, that's why I always am patient, positive and can help you to feel more confident. The most important part of learning a language is practice, and I can help you according to your language level, needs and interests.

As a teacher and a student who learned English as a second language, I know that the journey can be rough sometimes and very methodical, with that said, I like to learn a little about my student's interests and style to adapt and turn the learning process as easy and familiar as possible. I truly believe that we can have lots of fun while studying and learning a different language. I tend to use as an asset my student's interest and likes as a guide to teach them what they as willing to learn.

As a techer I may say that being a language student too has made me feel like putting myself in students' shoes too. So in short I know how it feels like not knowing a thing about it. I've attended language classes for some time and I know everything that one goes through while learning languages including the boring and depressive times. I've been a community tutor here in Italki for a good time and I like it because it gives me the opportunity to get to know different people and learn a lot with them. I like to teach clearly and easily. I prepare my lessons taking in consideration the student's prior knowledge and how can I help him to learn without being frustrating. While I was taking my Undergraduate Degree, I started teaching English as a part-time job. When I graduated, It became a career. I taught English to students of all ages and levels for 6 years. When I had a full classroom, I tried to be as dynamic as possible but in teaching one-to-one, It is interesting to have the format of a conversation, while grammar and vocabulary are slowly introduced throughout the classes.

I became a teacher when I came back to Brazil in 2014. At the same time I started teaching, I took my TESOL course and I’ve been teaching privately ever since. I really appreciate students who are independent and aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zone and learn with their own mistakes. And forget what you've heard about learning a second language being difficult as an adult. If you maintain consistency in your studies, you will reach fluency. I started speaking English when I was 30 and I became proficient not long after. If I was able to achieve this as an adult, you can as well.
