I have years of experience teaching English as a second Language to both children and adults. Also, I have been teaching Korean since 2018 and realised that I really enjoyed teaching and sharing my knowledge as much as I can. I will listen to you speak and focus on speaking and listening because I think that is the most important part of learning a language for the first time. It is important to not get distracted and focus on your learning as to be efficient as possible. This has been a big part of my life and I want to keep on helping students to learn.

Currently I teach Korean at private academy here in mexico. But I am extremly excited to start teaching on Italki <Spanish> En este momento doy classes de coreano en una academia aqui en Mexico. Y ahora estoy muy emocionada de poder enseñar aqui en italki.

Originally, I wished to be a English teacher. That's why I major in English. I like to meet people and chat with them. And I like to let them know what they don't know or want to know about. So, I taught many students from elementary school student to high schoolers since I was freshman in university. Besides, while I was doing military service, I taught English to one of my colleagues. Of course, not only English, I taught some Korean to foreign friends who met from university.

I am a fun, energetic and patient teacher. I am friendly and love to engage in different conversations. I believe that optimism and a positive attitude is the key to learning a language and that anything is possible if we work hard enough for it and have the right approach. I'm able to teach and explain vocabulary, idioms, phrasal verbs and grammar rules in both Korean and English.

I am a Canadian certified teacher. I also have my B.A in Linguistics as well as diplomas in Early Child Education and TESOL. I have been working in many different school settings including public/private schools and one on one/group tutoring. As a language learner like YOU, I also have experienced so many trials and errors whilst studying foreign languages. Long story short, frankly, I gave up many times in the middle of studying as I felt skeptical about the fact barely improvement was seen no matter how hard I struggled. However, I kept patient and eventually managed that difficult moment, and here I am! I know there are many of you out here who have had the same feeling I experienced or are now dominated by such frustration whilst learning a Korean language. I am not here to flatter you saying I will perfectly guide you to master Korean, but to cheer you up staying patiently next to you because you will never walk alone!

I was born and raised in Korea so you can learn accurate accent and pronunciation. I graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and I can speak Korean and English. I got degree in 'Korean language as a foreign language' and now I'm teaching Korean in language institute. I have experienced teaching Korean to people all over the world who want to pass Korean exam, to understand K-drama lines, to do a business in Korea, to go to University in Korea and to live in Korea, etc. I met many students who have various level, from beginner to advanced. So I’m specialized in teaching all the level. :D

한국어는 1년 전 부터 온라인으로 가르치고 있습니다. **톡에서 강의를 한 적도 있고요. 현재는 주로 일본인과 홍콩인을 대상으로 매주 스카이프를 통해 가르치고 있습니다. 한국어는 아니지만 일본어를 오래전에 학원과 과외 그리고 방과 후 수업을 한 적이 있습니다. 과외는최근까지 하고 있었는데 코비드로인해서 지금은 잠시 쉬는 중입니다.

I've studied Korean as a foreign language at the university and got a teaching certificate. I have many experiences to help my foreign friends who were studying Korean. I had a lot of fun talking with them and sharing different cultures to each other. My personality is calm, steady and patient. I've spent so much time to practice English with many friends and teachers on italki. I really know well that practicing languages with native speakers is really important and actually helpful. Ever since delivery, I became interested in education. My interest led me to acquire TESOL certificate in 2014 and develop my passion about education while teaching English as a lecturer at Northeast Normal University in China. Then I taught Chinese Korean language from 2015 to 2017, which has widened my teaching experience. In order to improve the quality of teaching, I have tried to acquire Korean Language Teaching Certificate, which helped me selected to be the most preferred teacher by students. Based on my interest and passion about education, teaching experience as language lecturer and linguistic competence, I would like to become one of the most trustworthy Korean teachers!

I'm a member of my University Korean Society, and I love teaching people about Korean culture and language! This is my main motivation for becoming a teacher. Learning a language as an adult can be difficult and stressful. This is why my lessons are in a relaxed and calm environment; so that my student can develop confidence and enjoy themselves! Whilst my lessons are fun, I strive to make them valuable to my student. Together we can improve your language skills effectively and efficiently! Finally, I place a strong emphasis on flexibility and make a strong effort to adapt to students needs and individual interests.

I want to share my knowledge with you in a fun and engaging way. Based on my experiences of both teaching Math and Korean, whilst living in Korea, Canada, and the UK, I aim to help you understand how to progress in a meaningful and enjoyable way so that together we can develop your Korean. I also like sharing Korean culture such as food and music. Of course any of your interests can be the subject of our topics or focus within lessons. I have been teaching Korean since I started to travel alone. I taught Korean at church in Japan and the US. They range in age from 7-year-olds to 70-year-olds. Some people couldn't speak Korean at all, but they developed a lot through our (me and other Korean students) class. And I know how hard learning a new language is. I am so patient! Please don't be afraid to make mistakes!!
