I have been a teacher of Italian to foreigners for about 10 years. It started as a great passion and then turned into a profession. I’m a teacher certified by the University for Foreigners of Siena (DITALS Certificate). I have taught in refugee centers to adults from different countries (English-speaking, French-speaking, Arabic-speaking) and with different levels of language. I have had experiences in schools for teenagers and in language workshops for children.

I have been improving my teaching method in the last five years, and I constantly find out new ways of teaching and presenting my language, thanks to the students I have been in contact with: each of you is different, each of you has a different reason to learn Italian, and for business and for passion, each of you is a new book to discover and to fill with my knowledge.

Studying translation made me aware of the importance of knowing my native language perfectly and throught my foreign language(s) learning I tried many types of exercises. As I am experienced in learning a new language, I feel like I can now help other people with it and adapt myself to their requirements. Soy licenciada en Lenguas y Literaturas Extranjeras, me he especializado en la enseñanza del italiano y sigo formándome a través de cursos, seminarios y certificaciones en didáctica del italiano como lengua extranjera en universidades italianas, la Cedils (Universidad de Venecia, 2014), el curso de formación para docentes de italiano LE de la Universidad de Perugia (2017) y la Ditals II (Universidad de Siena, 2019).

I've been teaching on italki since November 2016 and over the years I developed a very flexible method, which allowed me to teach to students of any level and with different goals, preferences and needs. During our lessons, I'll always try to create a relaxed atmosphere so you can feel at ease and have fun while learning. I usually conduct my lessons in Italian as much as I can, so you get used to it, but I can also use English if you like.

I've been giving online Italian lessons on a sporadic basis for three years. I've really enjoyed getting in touch with people from different cultures. I've helped students at different levels; I've delivered very basic lessons as more advanced ones. I enjoy helping both complete beginners and advanced students. I believe both scenarios present very stimulating challenges for me, and it is very rewarding to see people composing their first sentences in Italian, as it is amazing to see people language skills improve session by session. Also, having learnt two languages myself and studying psychology I know different learning strategies, and so I will be happy to give you useful tips.
