Insegno Italiano da tre anni, il mio approccio varia a seconda delle necessità dello studente. Tutti hanno un approccio diverso allo studio, il mio compito è quello di comprendere come aiutare lo studente a trovare il metodo migliore per imparare la lingua. Inoltre abitando a Londra mi sono trovata dalla parte dello studente per quanto riguarda la lingua inglese, questo mi ha permesso di comprendere le difficoltà di studiare una nuova lingua cercando di superare il semplice livello scolastico.

Currently, I work in an English Private School in Turin and I teach both English and Italian to non-native speakers. I taught English to toddlers (0-3 years old) in a private nursery. In addition, during my MA degree I was a university tutor for international students who wanted to learn and improve their Italian language skills, and I helped Italian university students to improve their English skills. Finally, I managed English courses for teenagers in summer campuses, where I held a workshop in which students had to create a comic strip with them as protagonists with dialogues written in English.

During my teaching experience I realised that text books and manuals are useful but not enough to deeply understand a language, to assimilate the structure and use it properly and brilliantly in any situation. I'll always help you reach the highest confidence in your own skills making you aware, at your own pace, that once we comprehend and domesticate the grammar and we create a solid vocabulary all we need is to remember that speaking a foreign language is always funny, fulfilling and incredibly useful!

I truly love teaching and find it so exciting to watch my students make progress. I am very versatile and I have experience teaching students ages 3 to 80! I started tutoring college level students while I was in grad school and have continued to teach adults. I know what it's like to be a beginner student so I am extremely patient and I like to keep things fun and lighthearted!

As a teacher I will teach you to be confident avoiding the fear to making mistakes, which is a crucial component for learning faster. We will practice a lot through conversation which will help you to gain confidence in communicating and understanding Italian in typical “everyday scenarios”, and most important we will learn the Italian language using a cultural approach more than an academic one, without, however, neglecting the study of grammar and pronunciation. Our conversation will be setting in a relaxed environment, as if it was a talk with friends.

Considering your language level I will identify the aspects we can improve and I will adapt the conversation topics to your preferences. We will have a nice conversation on universal topics and we can also imagine specific situations to learn to use language daily. I can also help you to understand practical aspect of Italian grammar. I am a certified teacher of Italian with several years of professional experience in teaching Italian to adults and children. I have helped many students to learn Italian, from absolute beginners to more advanced. I have also helped students prepare for the CELI/CILS exams and university admission.

After graduating in Literature, I perfected my diction by taking part in film dubbing courses, so I can guarantee clear pronunciation without any specific accent. Over the years, I have participated in several linguistic and intercultural exchanges, during which I became passionate about studying and teaching languages. I believe that a conversation with a native speaker is the most effective way to start appreciating a language, understanding its constructs and enriching vocabulary, coming only later to the study of the grammar.

Il mio motto è "what would you do if you weren't afraid?" So bene quali possano essere le difficoltà nell'apprendimento di una lingua straniera e quanto sia importante la motivazione. Per questo cerco di mettere i miei studenti sempre a loro agio, sono solare, allegra, mi piace molto scambiare idee e opinioni e sono anche molto attenta alle esigenze dei miei studenti. Non smetto mai di incoraggiarli e di gioire con loro dei loro piccoli, ma grandi successi e progressi!

Durch mein Studium habe ich viel Erfahrung im Unterrichten. Mir ist vor allem ein vielfältiger und abwechslungsreicher Unterricht sehr wichtig. Grazie al mio studio ho tanta esperienza nell'ambito dell'insegnamento. Per me è molto importante usare metodi diversi nelle mie lezioni per rendere il tutto più efficace e interessante. I think it is very important to use different methods and variation when teaching in order to make the lesson more effective and interesting.

Being a teacher for me means to transmit energy, passion and motivation to learn a new language. For me every lesson is my personal promise to give my best attitude and knowledge to every single student. Throughout years of study I tested on my own skin various approaches to language learning and I know clearly what works and what does not. All this helped me develop natural and very communicative approach to teaching. I love to share my enthusiasm with my students and I always try to help my students put in practice everything what they learn!

The key of my teaching style is «Learning&Doing – Doing& Learning». When I teach offline, every activity, from the one to one lesson to the workshop, from the board game to the Apulian tour, is based on missions to accomplish. Students learn Italian with Karaoke, role plays (would you like to be Pavarotti for few hours?), Italian recipes, cappuccinos to ask in a cafè, treasure-huntings around the city. When I teach online I try to add fun to my lessons: role-plays, quizzes, customized conversations and songs are my trump cards. Smiling is the main ingredient for effective learning. This is the (not so secret) recipe of my lessons!

I've a lot of experience with different kind of learners: students in school (11-18) and adults.* I'll help you to develop your Italian speaking skills and to get more comfortable in speaking and understanding. I know how hard Italian grammar can be, but I can always find the best way to make it easiest, as I really love it and know it perfectly. * I also teach music and yoga ;)

As a teacher I am very patient and understanding. I strongly believe that a friendly communication during lessons can do wonders. I always try to make students feel at ease, by creating an environment where there’s absolutely no need to feel afraid of making mistakes. My goal will always be to motivate my students to reach beyond their grasp, and remind them of their progress.

I am patient, pleasantly funny and available. I also try my best to explain as much clearly as possible and pay greater attention to any doubts that may be cast, giving the most exhaustive and understandable clarification.

Offro lezioni private da molto tempo ed ho avuto l'occasione di lavorare con persone molto diverse. Non sono una professoressa e per questo voglio che le mie lezioni siano leggere e divertenti, per poter imparare senza troppe difficoltà. Posso aiutarvi a migliorare la vostra fluenza, la vostra pronuncia e posso insegnarvi le espressioni tipiche dei veri italiani!

Sono una persona molto paziente e amo conoscere persone nuove durante le mie lezioni. Cerco di fare del mio meglio e di trasmettere ai miei studenti sicurezza e tranquillità durante lo studio dell'italiano perchè sto cercando di migliorare il mio inglese e quindi so cosa significa studiare una lingua diversa dalla propria. Ci si sente insicuri e timidi.. è normalissimo. Non preoccupatevi, miglioreremo insieme!

I've always helped my friends to learn French or Italian during my stay in France and also during my studies in Italy where I always helped foreign and Erasmus students learning Italian and English. I love to share my culture and to learn about other cultures, I really think that learning a new language is a way to connect, share and give yourself more possibilities and opportunities to reach your goals and to become a more open-minded and better person. I always try to share all of this during my lessons. That’s why I don’t like to say that I teach languages, I’d rather say that I exchange with people through the languages I speak.

I am patient and I have listening skills, a characteristic that allows me to meet the needs of all and to study learning programs adapted to the objectives of each person.
