From my personal experience, learning a new language might be a little bit awkward and confusing at first. Therefore, I think it's important to enjoy the process of learning so no rush! Whether you wish to learn the language from the basics or to improve it, I'll be happy to help you with learning while focusing on the practical language which is used daily in the real world. In our class, I'll be working with you on your reading, writing, speaking and pronunciation and help you with any other questions you may have in order to achieve your goals with learning the language, step by step, starting from the first class.

I am a professional language teacher; I’ve worked in Avital School in Merom Golan, Danziger School in Qiryat Shemona and Israel’s leading English evening school, High-Q. I have a B.A. in psychology from Tel-Hai College and a B.Ed. in English teaching in Ohalo College. I love my job! I love English, I love Hebrew, and I love explaining them. I specialize in spoken language, pronunciation and conversation, but we can also work on grammar or anything that you feel will boost your confidence and improve your language skills. I pay attention, I analyze, and I quickly adapt to my students’ needs.

My method of learning involves different aspects : using books, conversations, using body language and through studying short stories. The learning process will mainly be in Hebrew starting from the first lessons. I believe that learning a new language is mostly done by the student so I am here to help you in the learning process. In your lessons with me, I will guide you , give you feedback and also give you the opportunity to practice through hearing and speaking everyday Hebrew. I love teaching! Started teaching English at the age of 15, I began with 1st-5th grades, then moved to the ages of 13-14. Since the age of 22 I've been teaching adults both Hebrew and English. My teaching methods are inspired by my teacher in advanced English class in high school. I have been teaching Hebrew and Judaic studies at local Temples for the past two decades; I taught college physics at the local community college and delivered many professional classes all over the world in my capacity as a software engineer.

I have a lot of experience in teaching and tutoring. In Israel I taught in elementary school for two years and when I moved to the states I taught in a Hebrew school, for a few years, all ages as well as private lessons, and tutoring people before Hebrew exams. While I was teaching at the Hebrew school I also took Hebrew classes at my university to understand better how to teach it and help my students more. I am very patient with my students and won't rest until they will succeed. I believe I can reach my students with my humor and doing the best I can to make the lessons fun. I tailor my classes to the individual student - the content and material I bring are chosen according to what you express interest in. So if you are interested in astronomy, we will learn Hebrew using astronomy; and if you want to read the Bible, we will do that. I really enjoy teaching people about Israel and Judaism, and so I also have an array of materials about these subjects. In addition I've created short recorded stories, accompanied by a PDF and a dictionary, where the student learns verb conjugation, sentence structure and vocabulary, while listening to stories.

As a teacher I am informal, yet very progressive and will push you to learn and memorise your lessons properly and efficiently. I will provide all the support and encouragement you need to learn. I believe in positive encouragement as one of the strongest tools in learning anything new. If you just want to try a few lessons with me that is absolutely fine even if you can't commit any time for homework between lessons. But I always say the best way to learn is firstly to understand that there is only so far a teacher can take you. If you honestly want to learn and progress it would be best if you spend some of your time between lessons going over material we've covered and practise.

To determine the learning process, I proceed from the goals of my students. I speak, ask questions, and encourage my students to do the same. I remember that questions can never be stupid. We read stories, newspapers, books, etc. By the way, I have a lot of experience in preparing students for ulpan exams, as well as university exams, for tourism purposes, for reading the Bible or professional vocabulary. Because of my linguistic education, I can explain any, even the most complex grammatical concepts.

Languages are the bridge to information, connections, and creativity between people. Therefore, in order enable you to communicate in Hebrew, I will focus on conversation. The most important thing for me as a teacher is your success. Last year I created a language exchange program, where people could teach their native language in exchange to learn a new language. I myself gave classes in Portuguese, English, Spanish and Hebrew and got the opportunity to learn French. It was a really challenging and rewarding project that made me understand the different needs of my students and be creative with the methods of teaching in order to create fun and challenging classes. I'm highly motivated to teach languages, because I know I can help students to get a really useful tool for life. I'm enjoying to be an important part in the process and see the progress and results.
