I have a Master's degree in Linguistics, which included Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching, from the University of Essex. I have 5 years of experience as a professional language teacher at international schools. I started teaching Greek in 2012 and English in 2016. Puedo enseñar griego en español también.

I got my Bachelor's Degree in Greek Philology, School of Philosophy, at University of Athens in 2006. Since then, I've been successfully teaching Modern Greek to Greek pupils of all levels. I started teaching Greek Language and History to adult foreigners in 2013 and I must say it has been a very interesting experience so far. It has always been a pleasure for me to communicate with different people from all over the world. I would also like to mention that I have participated in several seminars on Special Education, which have helped me improve myself and my teaching methods.

I am a qualified teacher. I have obtained a bachelor in History & Archaeology and a master in Archaeology of Greece, Egypt and Near East. During my studies, I accomplished an internship in schools. As an undergraduate student, I visited some schools, attended many classes and gained experience with teaching. During my master, I learnt HIEROGLYPHICS, I made also a short dictionary of hieroglyphics in my thesis. I am also qualified for teaching in Secondary Educatio by GTCS (General Teaching Council for Scotland): (Greek, Latin), Classical Studies (literature, history, philosophy, art and archaeology), Modern Studies, Social and Civic Education and Religious Education

I would describe myself as a professional, in the same time funny and supportive teacher. My goal is that the students feel comfortable with me, so that they don't hesitate to ask anything. I learnt languages as a foreigner as well, and I know exactly how to transfer this knowledge to others.

Although I have a technical background (Electrical Engineering / IT) I always had a desire to do more with languages and I have a talent for learning languages and teaching. During my IT career I also had to teach (the use of specific software etc.). At some point when it was time to find an other job, I made the change to become a full time language teacher. Since then I have been building up my experience at schools, in private lesson and very soon also through Skype.

I have studied Greek Language and Literature in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Since i was a kid, i knew i would become a teacher. I love sharing my knowledge with other people than just making academic research for years. I started working as a Greek Language Teacher for a company based in Athens that had hundreds of international employees from all over the world and my duty was to teach them Greek fast and efficiently. I had students of all the levels (A1-C2) and various groups and the lessons were online in order to save time for the students. Since then, i have taught the Greek Language to hundreds of students.

Our classes will be planned according to your interests and needs. Of course, we will always be working on grammar and vocabulary but in a way that is interesting to you. If you don't want to follow a book, we can work on songs, recipes, articles, etc, or we can do that in addition to the textbook. We will also talk about the greek culture because learning the culture is important if you want to learn the language in depth. But don't worry-greek culture is fun!

I have studied in the Department of Primary Education of the University of Ioannina. Then I got my Masters Degree in Teaching Greek as a Second / Foreign Language from the University of Nicosia and I also received training from UNICEF about teaching Greek to people with multicultural backgrounds. I have also received specialization in Special Education from the Kapodistrian University of Athens and I am a certified life coach from the University of the Aegean.

I suggest speaking only in Greek, as you would speak, if you were in Greece or in Cyprus. To be honest, i usually like keeping the conversation natural like you were having tea or coffee with a friend of yours. But if you really wish to talk about a specific topic that makes you happy, no worries! The more you speak in Greek in a freestyle lesson, the better you'll be, trust me! To err is human, so don't panic, if words don't come up easily! Step by step you'll feel more confident and fluent, so i invite each earthling out there to come and join a trial lesson with me!

I have been working as an English teacher for 12 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Linguistics and a Master's degree in Special Education.
