I have been working as a teacher and examiner of German for 10 years. I work in Essen and Bochum currently. I use Kahoot-Quiz and different other apps as a teaching tool along with other required softwares.

During my studies of Translation and Interpreting in Spain, I started working as a German teacher (2004). After I finished my Bachelor's degree, I completed a postgraduate degree in Language, Translation and Literature. After this, I completed a German Teaching Course at the Goethe Institute. I have worked as a German teacher not only at many different private language schools like Inlingua, but also at the university, the Official German School and at an Examination Center of the Goethe Institute where I got the certificate as an official Goethe examiner. I have lots of experience as an online teacher (Skype, Zoom, Hangouts,WebEx). I am a very openminded and enthusiastic German teacher.

I try to make my lessons fun and enjoyable. In our first lesson we will get to know each other and decide together how we want to design our lessons. We will make various exercises which will be based on your level and your skills. The lessons should match your expectations and if you like to change something or to practice some skills more specifically, we will do so. I also like to give homework, if that is fine by you.

I started teaching german when I was in high school and haven't stopped since! I teach german and spanish to people of all ages and levels. Well, I came to the idea to try myself in iTalki, because I'd like to share my experience coming from zero to fluent in a short time. I do appreciate grammar and standard lessons that i had to pass through as well, but what really made me confident about my German was just many hours of talking with people.

Ich unterrichte seit ca. 2018 als Hobby Deutsch. Meine Schüler haben sehr unterschiedliche Gründe, warum sie Deutsch sprechen möchten und daher ist auch mein Unterricht sehr flexibel.

While I have not taught a lot of people languages I have always enjoyed teaching people to play the guitar. I think that I have good understanding for what is important when it comes to learning a language and I see myself capable in providing an environment where you can improve upon your skills.

Da ich zurzeit Lehramt studiere, finde ich iTalki sehr gut, um mich selber weiterzubringen und Menschen zu helfen! Ich bin sowohl Lehrer, als auch Lernender, da neue Herausforderungen auf mich zukommen, welche ich meistern muss. Das ist der perfekte Input, um sich in der Rolle des Lehrers wohlzufühlen. I teach German with easy and fun steps. I do not teach grammar with complicated conjugation tables, but with a lot of funny examples. That way, the class does not get boring and the student keeps his interest. I enforce his learning by letting him read good German books, watch famous German videos etc.

I've been tutoring for over 7 years now ever since I was a high school student myself. First, I was doing private tutoring in English, German, French, Maths and Sciences. Then, after finishing my BA in English and American Studies and Business Studies in 2017 and completing my CELTA, I moved to Brighton (England) for one year to work as an English teacher at a language school. Now I'm back in Germany to finish my Masters in Linguistics and learn as much as I can about languages and culture.

To me, one of the most important aspects of learning a new language is confidence. I know speaking a foreign language can be daunting at times, and I want to help you improve both your skills and your confidence through conversations. My aim is to make you feel comfortable when speaking to other people: there is no shame in making the occasional mistake or asking someone to repeat themselves.

As a tutor, I would to help you gain confidence to communicate in German. As I know how challenging it can be to talk a language you have just started learning, I am very patient.

Ich unterrichte Deutsch als Fremdsprache bereits seit 7 Jahren, sowohl live als auch online. Nach der Schule habe ich Deutsch und Pädagogik studiert und in der Erwachsenenbildung gearbeitet. Ich bin freundliche und sehr geduldige Lehrerin. Es ist wichtig für mich, dass meine Schüler den Lernprozess genießen, sich im Unterricht wohl fühlen und so viel wie möglich sprechen. Sie sollen keine Angst vor den Fehlern haben. Fehler zu machen ist super, denn dadurch lernt man!
