I want you to improve your german! From my experience the best way to learn a language is to speak regularly! I want to help you to stop your anxiety and building up a confidence level to finally have fun while you are learning a new language and not to be afraid to try! I like to not only focus on the language itself but to also integrate culture into my lessons too! The atmosphere in my lessons is casual, so you can feel comfortable. I’m friendly and will always adapt to my students’ level and needs. If you feel nervous about speaking, don't worry. It's ok to make mistakes and you will learn from them in no time! Der Schwerpunkt im Unterricht liegt nicht nur auf der Sprache, sondern z.B auf der Kulturvermittlung. Die Atmosphäre wird entspannt sein. Ich bin freundlich und passe mich flexible meinen Schülern an. Falls du nervös sein solltest, mach dir bitte keine Sorgen, schließlich lernen wir aus unseren Fehlern!

During my studies of Translation and Interpreting in Spain, I started working as a German teacher (2004). After I finished my Bachelor's degree, I completed a postgraduate degree in Language, Translation and Literature. After this, I completed a German Teaching Course at the Goethe Institute. I have worked as a German teacher not only at many different private language schools like Inlingua, but also at the university, the Official German School and at an Examination Center of the Goethe Institute where I got the certificate as an official Goethe examiner. I have lots of experience as an online teacher (Skype, Zoom, Hangouts,WebEx). I am a very openminded and enthusiastic German teacher.

I am a professional language teacher with a master's degree in Education with the use of new technologies. I have experience in teaching people from all over the world, irrespective of their level, beginner, intermediate or advanced.

I have been teaching German on italki for over a year now and taught over a thousand lessons on italki, and the last years I have also helped some of my international friends with their German studies. I have experience 4 plus years’ in teaching English and German.Besides helping with conversational skills and grammar I also help in preparation of various exams like Goethe examinations(A1 to C1) and with the preparations of IELTS and TOEFL. As I am from northern Germany, I have a big advantage over other German teachers. I speak "Hochdeutsch", which is a dialect and accent free version of German. Everybody will be able to understand you and you will be capable of understanding everyone, when you learn with me. Especially in the south and east people have strong dialects, which are not very easy to understand, even for natives. As I am becoming a teacher myself and am studying this subject at the university, I know what is important and what is not, in order to learn German fluently.

Nach dem Abitur habe ich dann meinen BA in den Fächern Englisch und Geschichte an der Universität Hamburg gemacht. Was mir in der Schulzeit in meinem eigenen Englischunterricht an Sprachpraxis deutlich zu kurz gekommen ist, habe ich mir während meiner Studiumszeit durch Tandem-Partner und Sprachpraxis-Seminare, besonders aber auch durch mein Jahr in Neuseeland, in eigener Hand beigebracht. Dadurch und durch meine bisherigen Lehrerfahrungen geprägt, möchte ich meinen Unterricht individuell auf mein Tandem ausrichten.

During my career, I've studied English, Spanish, German and I learnt the basis of French on my own. I graduated in Languages and Cultures of South Asia (University of Venice) and I completed my MA in Communication, Literatures, and Media in South Asia (University of Heidelberg, Germany). Studying very different linguistic varieties such as Hindi, Hebrew and Urdu I improved both linguistic skills and more efficient learning methodologies: for this reason, I could assist students with difficult tasks and tutoring new beginners during each semester. Therefore, I have more experience with academic learning, teaching and translations.

Ich arbeite seit über 14 Jahren als unabhängiger Deutschlehrer und gebe privaten Unterricht, vor allem Nachhilfe für Schüler der deutschen Schule, aber ich arbeite auch auf Stundenbasis an einer privaten Schule für Kinder aus Familien mit mittlerem bis geringem Einkommen.

Well, I came to the idea to try myself in iTalki, because I'd like to share my experience coming from zero to fluent in a short time. I do appreciate grammar and standard lessons that i had to pass through as well, but what really made me confident about my German was just many hours of talking with people.
