I became a teacher on italki to teach a rare and quite complicated language to all the people around the world who are interested in it and to those who have just fun to learn new things. I am a really relaxed person, pretty communicative and motivated so that I think a lesson with me is more fun than work and that's how I think it should be. For both sides. Teacher and student! I will introduce you not only to the Russian and German languages, but also to the peculiarities of Russian and German culture, I will give you the correct pronunciation and will emphasize speaking. Since I myself have learned and still learn foreign languages, I know the obstacles facing students. I offer individually tailored curricula and help my students overcome the fear of speaking. You get from me the tools you need to communicate, to speak, read and write with fun and success.

Speaking is the best way to learn a language, so my lessons usually center around having an actual conversation in German, but I will also give you grammar instructions and help you with pronunciation as and when necessary. If you struggle with any particular grammar topic, we can of course also dedicate a whole lesson to that. Generally I'm happy to adapt myself to your needs and preferences. While we talk, I make extensive notes in a google document, I write down new vocabulary with example sentences, grammar instructions, corrections, etc. You'll have access to this document during and after the classes.

I can help you learn basics of German, English or Croatian language; teach you commonly used expressions, conversational phrases, or just help you with your school lessons or homework. You can also select a topic you are interested in, and I can prepare it for our next language session so you can practice speaking, learn grammar rules, or whatever you think you want to improve.

I speak high German and I consider myself a rather slow speaker and easy to understand teacher. I hold a German as a Foreign language teaching certificate from the Goethe Institute and was teaching healthcare professionals at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi. My students appreciated my positive and friendly attitude that always kept them motivated. Formerly, I worked as the editor-in-chief of a customer magazine for a German medical engineering company. With this knowledge, I teach German courses for healthcare professionals such as nurses, caregivers, and doctors.

Ukrainian and Russian are my native languages, although I'm not a professional teacher, I totally understand how important is it just to be able to speak, and for this, you need more speaking practice. I hold certification from Geothe-Institut, which confirms that I passed the C1 exam, as well as I in general, had lots of experience with preparation for different language tests. I believe learning should be fun. I´m not a professional teacher but over the years I got quite a few opportunities to teach German and English for fun (sometimes, in Myanmar, for example, also for cookies...) and every single time it was a very special experience. I started teaching in schools around Asia during my trips. I'm so happy to see people improving their language skills. I believe that one of the main purposes of learning a language is to be able to communicate with others and also learn about the culture. My teaching style is flexible depends on your goals. But I focus mainly on communication with some grammar exercises. Thats my kind of teaching.

I found that I really enjoy 1-1 teaching and had the opportunity through the last years teaching dozens of students online, to constantly improve on my methods and the way I give feedback. As I grew up in Northern Germany, I will teach you the „high-German“, without any dialect. That's the way people talk on TV and Radio.

I have had a lot of experience in professional and freelance settings. I've tutored and taught English, German, and History since about 2013. I am currently working on getting my teaching degree at SUNY Oswego in Oswego, NY. I like to have a personal connection with my students in order to get my students comfortable and motivated to learn English or German.
