After a short period of time in Egypt I was asked by friends and other people if I am teaching german or if I would be able to do so. So I mostly gave (private) conversational lessons as a part time job (for around 3 years). I am currently not teaching beginners or children!

I have friendly approach , because I like relaxed atmosphere during class. I will always encourage you to speak without fear of making mistakes.

I have more than 20 years teaching experience, manage a German language school and also teach at embassies, foundations and NGOs. I am passionate about teaching languages (German/English/French)

I have been working as a teacher and examiner of German for 10 years. I work in Essen and Bochum currently. I use Kahoot-Quiz and different other apps as a teaching tool along with other required softwares.

What we will do in our time together here on italki is: enjoying the learning process through maybe sometimes challenging exercises of having free conversation and writing together, maybe recording texts and listening to examples of native speakers. Of course we will model our time together according to your level, needs and expectations. So, I am very open to wishes and suggestions.

In meinem Sprachtraining waren bereits viele Ärzte und Krankenschwestern, die B1 und B2 Zertifikate abgelegt haben.

Before we start with the lessons, I will evaluate your current level and your goals with learning the language. I will also find out what kind of exercises and assignments you prefer, as I am well aware, that every student needs a different approach. I am a very patient teacher with a good sense of humor who is convinced, that it´s a lot easier to learn a language while having a good time. During many years of teaching German as a second language I gathered a big pool of different teaching materials and I will find the right stuff to get you on track in a fun and easy way :o)

I have been teaching German on italki for over a year now and taught over a thousand lessons on italki, and the last years I have also helped some of my international friends with their German studies. As I am learning languages myself (At the moment Portuguese, and now also Japanese) I know how it feels to learn a new language. I can also share my learning experiences and mistakes.

Since I'm a native speaker and I like it to explain things to others, I thought it would be a great opportunity to help you with your knowledge.

First I was a classroom teacher in a private training center, but later I found that teaching one-on-one is both, more efficient for students and also more interesting as a teacher. In a one-on-one lesson I can totally adapt to your language level and teach you the language that is important for you and the speed that you choose. In case you want to change you learning method you can tell me at any point, and we can try a different approach.

I am enthusiastic in what I do and love to share little tips here and there that will compliment my students' language learning habits in general, should they be looking for advice. I will find different ways to explain a concept and understand how to energize my lessons through new material. I am very patient and determined to only offer the best to help students reach their goals, whether beginner or advanced. I offer German/English conversation lessons for all levels as well as Italian and Spanish classes for beginner-intermediate levels. Note: While I do like emphasizing conversation, I know that many students will have different preferences and learning styles. Therefore I am flexible!

I myself have learned many foreign languages. I can relate to a situation when you start learning, it all goes well for a while and then it all just stops and no matter what you do, you cannot move on and improve your language level. I've developed different strategies that worked for myself and for my students and I will be happy to share them with you.

As a teacher, I am interested in helping you individually. I have been a teacher for over 10 years and I love my job! I have a Master of Education and finished my „Referendariat“ — I graduated in both with honors. I am happy when my students are successful and achieve their goals.

I will do my best to be a teacher that you ever dreamed of in school ;-) That means that I will prepare lessons that are individually designed just for you! We can talk about topics that are useful for you and practise speaking german on the base of your speaking abilities.

I help students to improve their communicational language skills and work with beginners and with advanced students as well.

I am a "language-learner" myself and therefore know, how it feels to get acquainted with a new language. I have been a language-student in school, university and while working full-time. So I do know how different life circumstances can change the way you're learning. I will adapt the classes to your personal needs and interests. I want to make learning interesting for you and therefore will incorporate different topics and ways of learning. A crucial part of learning a language to me is practice. This is why I like to assign homework (if that suits your personal circumstances, of course).

During my career, I've studied English, Spanish, German and I learnt the basis of French on my own. I graduated in Languages and Cultures of South Asia (University of Venice) and I completed my MA in Communication, Literatures, and Media in South Asia (University of Heidelberg, Germany). Studying very different linguistic varieties such as Hindi, Hebrew and Urdu I improved both linguistic skills and more efficient learning methodologies: for this reason, I could assist students with difficult tasks and tutoring new beginners during each semester. Therefore, I have more experience with academic learning, teaching and translations.

Der Grund meines Studiums der Germanistik (ab 2011) war vor allem der Wunsch Deutsch als Fremdsprache zu unterrichten. Bereits während des Studiums begann ich mit Abendkursen an der Volkshochschule, wo ich auf Niveaus von A1 bis B2 unterrichte. Spezialisiert habe ich mich dann auf die medizinische Fachsprache für Pflegekräfte und Mediziner und die Vorbereitung auf die Fachsprachprüfung (FSP), da mein zuerst erlernter Beruf Physiotherapeutin ist und ich daher mit der medizinischen Terminologie bestens vertraut bin.
