Willkommen! I am a professional full-time German teacher giving 2000 lessons a year. I love my work and offer individualized, motivating and effective lessons plus a free newsletter with insider informations about Germany. Learning German can be fun!

I have been teaching on Italki since 2016 and worked with students from all over the world, from Level A to C, please don´t feel shy and contact me for a first lesson and I am happy to share my experience with you.

Currently, I'm giving private lessons in English and Italian. Since 2018 I am teaching Italian (A1-A2) at an adult learning centre (Volkshochschule). Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I switched from classroom to online lessons in March 2020. Since June 2020 I am giving an online lesson every week in German to a lady living in Düsseldorf.

My lessons will be conversational for pupils with intermediate or advanced German skills (B1 - C1). My main goal is to teach you German in a fun way, where you aren't afraid of speaking and making mistakes. First we will set your goal, then I will help you to reach it. To actually speak a new language is problably the hardest part. Therefore I belief it's important to focus on topics you are interested in. I want to teach you how German is actually spoken, rather teaching you "textbook" German. Please note: I don't teach children or teens.

I am here to help you to improve your language skills. I want to give you room to explore and improve the German language. I don't teach you German grammar but I am here to practice! Ich bin hier um dir zu helfen deine Sprachkenntnisse zu verbessern. Ich möchte dir den Raum geben die deutsche Sprache zu erkunden und zu verbessern. Ich bin kein Grammatiklehrer, aber ich bin hier um mit dir Gelerntes zu üben.

As a tutor I try to adapt to the needs and interests of the students. I want to pick’em up where they’re standing language-wise. Besides being empathetic, patient, creative and flexible on content, I want the lessons to be fun! Especially regarding the preciseness and seriousness that the German language tends to represent, I think humor is a great tool to make it more accessible and easygoing. Another thing that makes learning German more fun, is to focus on topics that are relevant to the student. But having fun doesn't mean that success is secondary. My conversation practices are outcome-oriented according to the goal the student wants to achieve. We'll work on an audible improvement! :)

Ich unterrichte seit 10 Jahren an verschiedenen Schulen SchülerInnen unterschiedlichen Alters. Zurzeit unterrichte ich an einer Grundschule und einem Gymnasium. Ich habe daher sowohl Erfahrungen im Unterrichten von Kindern als auch Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen. Auf Grund meiner Unterrichtserfahrung und eigenen beruflichen Erfahrungen kann ich in vielen verschiedenen Bereichen helfen: Kurse für Kinder und Jugendliche, allgemeine Sprachkurse, Schreibtraining, Konversationstraining, Deutsch für den Beruf (Büro und Tourismus), akademisches Schreiben, Wissenschaftssprache etc. Ich bin eine sehr geduldige und positive Person und möchte, dass meine SchülerInnen Freude beim Lernen haben!

I have a wide range of teaching experience, from tribal schools in Thailand and Nepal to elementary schools, kindergarten and an adult language academy in Korea. I like teaching languages because it is always a cultural exchange. Learning a language should be fun and every lesson is tailor-made according to the needs of the student. Ich denke, dass ich keine typische Lehrerin bin und daher macht mir mein Job bereits 16 Jahren Spaß. Meine Studenten sagen über mich, dass ich positive Ausstrahlung habe und dass sie mit mir Hemmungen beim Sprechen verlieren. Ich bin von Natur eine Person, die motivieren und unterstützen kann. Suchst du jemanden, der geduldig, positiv, offen und lustig ist, dann bist Du bei mir richtig. Ich spreche langsam und deutlich, helfe Dir mit allen Schwierigkeiten, Die du beim Deutschlernen haben könntest. Ich gebe Dir auch konkrete Tipps, wie Du auch alleine effektiv lernen kannst. In meinem Sprachtraining waren bereits viele Ärzte und Krankenschwestern, die B1 und B2 Zertifikate abgelegt haben.

I have been a tutor for over three years. In a few months I will start my teacher training for the subjects German language and literature as well as politics-economics at the university. I am very patient, always in a good mood and flexible. I prepare my lessons for you conscientiously and individually. You can choose between different courses that match your ideas and learning goals.

I can help you learn basics of German, English or Croatian language; teach you commonly used expressions, conversational phrases, or just help you with your school lessons or homework. You can also select a topic you are interested in, and I can prepare it for our next language session so you can practice speaking, learn grammar rules, or whatever you think you want to improve.

Tengo experiencia enseñando por internet. Me gusta enseñar según el método "aprender al practicar" siempre y cuando se base en buena preparación de antemano. Ich habe Erfahrung mit Online Unterricht. Ich unterrichte am liebsten nach der Methode „Learning by doing“ solange es sich auf gute Vorbereitung stützt. I have experience with online classes. I prefer teaching through "learning by doing" as long as it is based on good preparation.

In my opinion the best way to learn a language is through speaking it. To improve your German I would let you talk all the time and note feedback in the meantime. If you have some specific wishes I can prepare a more structured session with a specific goal in mind. I'm able to talk about any topic. Should be easy to find a topic that interests you. I'm flexible, i.e. besides language teaching I can work with you on goals you are aiming towards. To name few: preparation for a job interview, negotiations or scenarios in business context.

It’s important for me that you feel relaxed in our lessons, so you will feel more comfortable speaking. I’m kind and very patient. Through my own experience I know that language learning is not linear, sometimes you find it easy and learn a lot and sometimes it can be frustrating. My goal as a teacher is that you get the most out of the class. How do I want to achieve that? 1) Create a comfortable atmosphere: You have to be relaxed and feel comfortable in order to learn. I will try to create a very comfortable atmosphere so you can concentrate on the lesson. 2) Teaching a fun class: The class should be fun and interesting, that’s when we get the best results. I would love to know about topics that interest you and consider them in my preparation of the class. 3) Speak as much German as possible: You have to get used to the structure, the sound and the rhythm of the language. That's why I want to encourage you that we speak as much German as possible during the class.

I teach German since more than 10 years, to students from all over the world. I know about the importance of a good and positive atmosphere while learning.
