I've been teaching German for over 20 years. I support students traveling & studying abroad, business people, expatriates and people living in German-speaking countries . I teach at all levels, from beginner to advanced.

Do you want to express yourself better in conversation and sound more authentic in German? I specialize in helping you to improve your speaking and pronunciation of German based on special exercises I design specifically for YOUR native language background (i.e. German for Chinese speakers, German for Spanish speakers, etc). My particular area of expertise is in phonetics and phonology, so I can help you to master the difficult sounds of German so that you feel more confident when you are speaking. However, I can help you with any aspect of your German that you would like to improve, including preparing you to take formal examinations like the DSH, the TestDaF and the Goethe Institut exams.

Als community teacher möchte ich vor allem das Anwenden der Sprache üben. Ich möchte euch helfen, mehr Sicherheit beim Sprechen zu erlangen und eure sprachlichen Fähigkeiten sowie Kenntnisse zu verbessern. Das Ziel meiner Unterrichtsstunden ist, dass ihr mit Spaß eine neue Sprache erlernt und bereits vorhandenes Wissen vertieft.

Since I'm a native speaker and I like it to explain things to others, I thought it would be a great opportunity to help you with your knowledge.

When I was a student, I was tutoring a lot of adults and children. In 2017 I passed my state exam for being a French and Spanish teacher at high school. Currently I’m working as a language teacher at a secondary school but I also worked as a language teacher for adults.

As a teacher, I am very patient and easy going. I prepare my classes so that you get the most out of the lesson. I offer conversation practice and vocabulary building in a relaxed environment while focusing on the grammar that you need to speak confidently. I'll correct your mistakes and teach you useful expressions and phrases. In the first class we will set your goals and estimate your level of German or English so that we can chart a course to work together.

Ich habe bereits knapp vier Jahre lang bei Summercamps Kindern Deutsch gelehrt, selbst privat Nachhilfe gegeben und außerdem auch Austauschschülern aus Asien Deutsch beigebracht. Daher bin ich damit vertraut, mich meinen Gegenüber individuell einzustellen, insbesondere wenn es um Sprachen geht. Ich bin sehr geduldig, gesprächig und habe immer verschiedene interessante Themen parat.

I am a firm believer in making learning - especially language learning - fun and am convinced that with this, dedication and immersion you can get pretty much anywhere in a language! But also: don't be afraid to mess up! Everybody makes mistakes when getting into a new language (I've been there), and sometimes it will seem like you'll never stop making the same mistakes, but I am happy to help and go over things multiple times.

For me, every student is special and I prepare every lesson based on your individual needs and goals. I also want to make my lessons fun and I put a lot of work into my students confidence to speak. Ich denke, meine Aufgabe in dieser Welt ist die Lehre. Sprachen sind dabei ein Weg, zu globalem Wissen und zu einer besseren Welt beizutragen. Ich habe Deutsch, Englisch und Französisch in verschiedenen Ländern und Kontexten unterrichtet – privat, an der Universität und in einer Sprachschule. Ich bin froh, nun auf italki zu unterrichten. I think my purpose in this world is to teach. Languages are one of the channels to increase global knowledge and to contribute to a better world. I’ve been teaching German, French and English in different countries in different contexts, in private lessons, at University and in a language school. Now I am happily teaching online on italki.

I am a "language-learner" myself and therefore know, how it feels to get acquainted with a new language. I have been a language-student in school, university and while working full-time. So I do know how different life circumstances can change the way you're learning. I will adapt the classes to your personal needs and interests. I want to make learning interesting for you and therefore will incorporate different topics and ways of learning. A crucial part of learning a language to me is practice. This is why I like to assign homework (if that suits your personal circumstances, of course).

Having fun and being interested in the culture is key to learning languages. Already in Chile I did lessons with friends on an exchange basis, where I noticed: "if you want, you can". I will show you why it is worth making an effort by exchanging ideas about my culture, our mentality and life in Germany. With the fun of it, you'll be motivated and happy to learn.

I will do my best to help you to improve your german, I am a native speaker so i can provide you with the common words and sayings you really going to use. I would consider myself a patient teacher and will try to make u as comfortable as possible to speak more german :)

I have been studying languages at a university since 2014 to become a teacher. In the past few years, I have had the opportunity to gain experience in various schools in different countries, furthermore, have spent 2 years in Spain. My classes are very interactive with the focus on the student. In my opinion, online teaching offers an excellent opportunity to improve communication skills, therefore, it gives room for students to practice speaking as much as possible with no fear of committing errors. In addition, at the end of each class students receive a feedback on their learning process.
