I am an enthusiastic, friendly, English language teacher with a CELTA certificate. I am extremely passionate about teaching. I am a great communicator and listener, and have the ability to understand a student’s needs. I love creating lesson plans, organising work flow and interacting with the students. I have a lot of material and I use Goggle Docs to share information.

I have a passion for teaching languages and have been especially interested in learning languages from a very young age. I am educated to Masters degree level in linguistics. I have taught Polish and English at all levels. I am very organised and prepared and plan the curriculum around the learners individual requirements. I provide clear aims and objectives, so that students are able to chart their own progress, and move towards achieving their development targets. I am flexible, and can organise and plan a program which can be adjusted to any standard.

My friends like to describe me as the happiest person they know. I absolutely love meeting new people and creating a positive learning environment. I always make sure that you are comfortable and excited during our lessons. I believe that feedback is the most important aspect of learning. I will always be taking detailed notes throughout our conversations. Near the end of class, I will spend time reviewing feedback on grammar, sentence structure and pronunciation. I will also provide recommendations and strategies for how you can continue to improve outside of the classroom. I am a Persian native speaker with a university degree in translation studies, and some previous experience in tutoring Persian as well as English. I think it is wonderful to connect with people around the world every day, so I guess this platform helps a lot. My English teaching career started in 2015, when I taught conversational English at a language club in St. Petersburg, Russia. Afterwards, I taught English online to students from Russia, China, France, Chile, and more! Then I had a great adventure teaching multiple levels of English grammar and conversation at an American school in Vladimir, Russia. I became Head Teacher there. My favorite part about teaching English is hearing what my students have done after finishing my classes. I’ve had students go on to get jobs in the US, start high-level university English programs, and just make new friends by using English! I have both a TEFL 100-hour and TESOL 120-hour certification.

I started my career as a private tutor and then taught English to teenagers at a private language school while working on my master’s. I then realized that I’d love to teach Russian as a foreign language too so I signed up for a special course at my alma mater. Then I taught English and Russian at a university and I also have experience of teaching corporate clients. At the moment I’m working at a language training centre and as a private teacher.

I really enjoy connecting with people and teaching what I know. If I have to describe myself as a teacher.. I'd say that I'm pretty easy-going, cheerful and fun to talk to. I'm very responsible and serious about what I do and I expect the same kind of commitment from my students.

I think of myself more as an English coach. There is so much more involved in learning English than rules and book knowledge. It’s important to know English rules, however “everyday natural English” is often very different. A number of factors help us to sound natural. In the past, I’ve had an opportunity to assist native adult speakers with their English skills. This experience has played a role in how I help current students. I started teaching English to immigrants in the United States in 2003. I continued to teach off and on for awhile, then I become certified in 2011- and I've been giving private English lessons full-time ever since. I can say that I have plenty of experience (in total over 12 years; 9 years full-time) teaching ESL learners. I'm a teacher who spends time on my students outside of lessons. I plan lessons, I write and send notes to my students after every lesson, I help students who need something small edited or proofread, and I spend time learning about the student's native language and finding quick solutions to the problems that they may face.
