In 2011 I signed up at the Teaching Training College, where not only did I learn about languages but also about pedagogy. For this reason, I always design meaningful lessons based on the communicative approach and the four skills (Reading, writing, speaking and listening). These lessons are always prepared taking into consideration the interests of the learner and the objectives set to improve any aspect of the language. Besides, I try to create a good and comfortable atmosphere where the learner feels free of making mistakes and they are seen as a way to improve the learning path.

I have been an English and Spanish teacher since 2007 and I have worked in several private and public institutions. I have a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish teaching from Universidad Pedagogica Nacional and I am currently living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I work as an English teacher. I taught English to college students from 2008 to 2015, and I also taught English literature and directed a few language immersions at the universities I worked at. From 2015 to 2018, I lived in Washington DC and worked as a History/Spanish teacher at a bilingual multicultural school where I had the chance to teach students not only from the US but also from Central America, Africa and Asia.

I teach my students with great love and care. I'm a very good listener and will resolve your language problems patiently.

With over 10 years of experience in English work environments, and 3 years of experience working as a business language coach, I consider myself qualified to instruct anyone who needs specific business English for any situation. As a part time researcher (mostly art theory) in preparation for my phD, I'm very familiar with all the nuances of academic English and its use, and if you're struggling with that academic writing or reading part of your exam or just wish to improve your own papers, no worries, we'll make it great! I'm very curious, so any field of research you do will be interesting to me! Majority of my students need test preparation for international exams, so we can do that too!

I take notes and correct on grammar and pronunciation as we go. Most of all, I just like to have a conversation about topics we enjoy. I make sure that the students gets plenty of listening time - understanding what I am saying, and also plenty of speaking time - so they can perfect their speech. In addition to conversations, I enjoy studying songs, news articles, and media with students.

I have six years of teaching experience as a tutor. During this time I've met amazing people with diverse backgrounds - programmers, entrepreneurs, university students, artists and many, many more. The vast majority of my students are also expats living mainly in French speaking countries and this is something I consider to be my greatest asset - having lived in France as an expat gave me the opportunity to be able to empathize with a student and understand what are his or her needs in terms of learning a language. Although, the pleasure of actually speaking it is my biggest mission. We enjoy the process, we have fun, we try to make the language serve us - not otherwise :).

I have lots of fun discussing and explaining German words, phrases and sentence structure. I have been supporting language learners on Italki since January 2019. In the past I have lived in many countries. Whenever I am back home in Germany I go back to driving an abulance. My students appreaciate my slow and clear speech. I am very patient - I dont mind repeating myself over and over again :) Repetition is essential. I encourage students to make mistakes as they catalyse the learning process.

Teaching is a passion of mine and is something that I have been doing since I turned 18. I have taught in a variety of countries and different settings, however I have decided to make teaching online my focus due to the amazing flexibility it gives me. I have been a modern foreign language teacher (French, Spanish, and English) for nearly two decades. I started my teaching career as a business language instructor in the oil and gas industry before moving to teach in international schools in 2004. Since then, I have worked with children aged 3-18 (i.e., pre-school through high school). I am state certified to teach French, Spanish, and English to students of all ages, and as part of that process, I have passed state, national, and international background checks. For over a decade now, I have also worked as a trainer for modern foreign language teachers and to date, I have trained over a thousand teachers in more than sixty countries.

I have been teaching English for over 5 years. I have taught all ages, from children as young as 5-years-old to adults over 30-years-old. I have a passion for helping people learn and grow. I believe that being able to speak the English language fluently, is a vital part of advancing in today’s world. I love teaching grammar rules, but I also enjoy teaching conversational English. I enjoy this more, because then I get to know my students! I have recently completed my degree in Psychology and acquired an accredited TEFL certificate. I have a B.A. in English for Cross-Cultural Communication with a qualification of a teacher and a master's degree in Mediation and Communication with specialization in translation studies. I've worked as a teacher in a youth center in Armenia and taught online in a Russian language school called ''Skyeng''. Now I work in HBLS, a language school in Brussels. I've worked with people of different age groups and different levels of language proficiency. I usually motivate my students and try my best to engage them in the learning process. I've previously taught for one year as an English teacher in Mexico. I taught a range of students from the ages of twelve to thirty. I helped students with preparation for English exams, conversational and colloquial practice, and course material from Cambridge text books. I have 5 years experience teaching English (formal classroom setting): 2 years in Mongolia teaching children and 3 years at a university in South Korea teaching university students.
