Good communication, good articulation mean a lot to me. No matter how much you know, how much you have acquired, if you are not good at articulating yourself, you rock the boat especially in teaching. I have over 17 years of teaching and training experience and I have grown comfortable coaching a variety of international clients. I have 21 years of management experience gained from running restaurants and nightclubs. At University of Illinois I was the president of student associations and gave speeches at professional events and workshops. After receiving my Master’s Degree I trained employees at University of Illinois and then taught English as a Second Language, American History at the City Colleges of Chicago. Back in 2011, I trained for the Trinity College TESOL Certification in London (UK). As soon as I graduated, I was hired by the language school to begin teaching students. Since moving to the Philippines, I have learned what it means to need a new language for everyday life. I know what it's like to understand what you hear and then be unable to respond. I appreciate that an intelligent person, who has a great vocabulary in their native language, may feel frustrated when they struggle to say something in their second language. I understand how it feels to be unable to show your personality because you cannot think of the right words. I want to help every person who takes a lesson from me feel more comfortable using what they know, and I want to be a part of their continued growth. I understand what my students need because I am a student.

I offer the Turkish language from A1 to C1 level. I have various teaching experience in Turkish and I will teach you the basics of the language. And I want to underscore one point that one of my article written in Turkish awarded by the official institution of the Turkish government as the best paper among international students. So, it means I could help you to develop your academic skills. I have been teaching English since 1999 and shortly after obtained my CELTA (Cambridge English Language Teaching Accreditation) teaching qualification. I have taught in five different countries= the UK, Spain, Hungary, Vietnam and Malaysia; presently I am living in Budapest, Hungary. My motivation for teaching? There are two reasons why I enjoy teaching; firstly, the feeling of satisfaction when you have helped someone pass an examination, be successful in their career, a job interview or even learn a difficult piece of grammar. Secondly; I love the English language! I love thinking about it and considering the best way to teach it.

I have my feet in two worlds, the world of education and the world of business. I have two Master's degrees, one in Education-Teaching English as a Foreign Language and the other in Business Administration. I have taught English at two universities, a French school, many corporations and online. I have also worked in banking and finance. My teaching experience began as an assistant in a Daycare. I was teaching 2 & 3 year olds and it was fun! That was the turning point for me. I've always recognized the impact a teacher could have on a student because of how my teachers inspired me. But in that daycare, it was the students that had an impact on me as a teacher! Learning does not have to be hard or boring , no matter what age you are or what you are learning. Of course it takes effort, but it can be a process that you can enjoy. As a teacher, I will give my best to each student.

A few years ago I was teaching English to mostly kids while working Spain, but then I decided to go travelling around the world teaching adults working professionals using Skype, so that I could make more use of my engineering degree and combine it with English teaching. I was motivated to start teaching English this way because of the amount of knowledge of different cultures and industries/professions that I was able to gain from teaching these lessons. I also like to study language/linguistics etc so that I can use effective methods to help students reach a higher level of fluency with real, solid methods that work.
