I am a resourceful and motivated ESL and Portuguese teacher with three years’ teaching experience with young learners (children and teenagers) as well as adults. I began my teaching career in a local high school teaching senior History and junior Social Studies for five years. While playing cricket in England for two seasons I also taught Key Stage 3 History close to London. After this I moved to China and taught senior English and oral English to junior students. I have already been teaching online to children, teenagers and adults for over two years now, sometimes solo and sometimes together with a full time teaching job, and I absolutely love it. Right now my main job is as an IB History and English teacher for a school in Ambato, Ecuador, although I'm doing this remotely due to the Covid world.

In Korea, I worked as a English tutor since as far as back -10 years ago. And I've been teaching Korean for about a year now. Growing up, I always helped my classmates with English tests and later on I started teaching children in my hometown English. No matter how much you know, how much you have acquired, if you are not good at articulating yourself, you rock the boat especially in teaching. As once a great Farsi writer living in this country (Rumi) said "...You can only explain as much as who listens to you can understand." In that sense Teaching is always more than transmitting knowledge. A teacher always represents an identity regardless of different learning settings. Although I have never formally trained in teaching language, I have voluntarily taught Japanese for many years. I’ve attended to language exchange lessons in Toronto and New York and taught Japanese to people from all over the world (e.g. American, Canadian, Russian, Polish, German, Chinese, Korean, Indian etc.) from very beginners to fluent people. I made close friends who learn Japanese and we always asked and taught each other when I was studying English. One of my best friends is an American and he still asks me about the Japanese language even after he moved to Japan.
