I am open-minded to talk about any subject. What I like the most is exchanging with people from different culture, different languages and different origins. I have already given some face-to-face lessons of English, French and Dutch to some students of my country and helped them pass their exams.

I find that in learning a language grammar and vocabulary are of course important - but what is really key in communication is confidence. I am going to help you feel confident in communicating in Dutch by practicing with you regularly, in a fun and supportive environment :)

I started tutoring people in language and in math during my university days, and early on learned that patience is a big factor in making the student(s) learn comfortably. This comes from my experience at my secondary school where due to the high amount of cultural exchange and engagement you begin to understand that everyone has a different way of understanding things. It is also because of these experiences that I believe that the practical sessions are a little more important than the theory aspect of things. Hence I tend to put more focus on actual practicing of the speaking by having regular conversations so people are more adept to the everyday usage of the language.

I prepare my lessons, tailor made, fit for purpose especially to your needs and demands. I offer a wide range of lessons based on specific themes, such as pronunciation, business conversation, exam preparation, greetings, family, the weather, food, culture and so on. I really enjoy helping others with their struggles to learn another language. I am patient and will correct your mistakes in a proper way. I will be able to help you out while learning Dutch or Spanish and explain you all the ins and outs of the language. I also like to talk and teach about the many different cultures.

As a teacher I am patient, I like to help out others. I can help you with basic Dutch or more advanced. Teach you new words, how to pronounce then and if you want how to write them. A few years ago I helped my thai friend with her basic dutch. She had plans of moving to The Netherlands. I had so much fun helping her starting with the Dutch language. When she was getting close to her integration test, she moved to the city and had some profesdional lessons. She passed and I was very proud of her. I was very happy that I was there and helped starting with her Dutch.

Whether you prefer a rather informal approach or like to learn the standard variant of the Dutch language("standaardnederlands" as we refer to it) ,I can help you out with both! If you insist on learning Flemish as well, I'm keen to immerse you into the beautiful world of colloquial Dutch used in everyday speech. The choose is yours of course. I'm a very Helpfull teacher. Learning a new language with me means that we will cover the basic grammar and vocabulary that we need, but quickly switch to have conversations in Dutch. We will go over why you want to learn the language, and set weekly and monthly goals to achieve it! Learning a new language can be a little difficult and dreadful, and that's why I love to combine learning Dutch, with subjects and things you like! We will talk about anything you want to learn about.

I'm a professional native Dutch teacher. I teach French (up to intermediate) and Dutch (all levels). I have taught adults and specialised in written communication while studying journalism.

I try to make my online lessons as cosy as possible. I use the video-conference system, so I can see my students and they can see me; we can talk, we make the exercises together, I explain all the grammar, and if my students have any doubt or questions, I explain it orally which I think makes it easier to be understood. Besides the I also speak English, French, Norwegian and Finnish. And I understand Swedish and German. Teaching and learning language is my hobby and I am learning Greek myself. Professionally I am an expert on home automation and on that subject have given vocational training courses for almost 3 decades. I have done this in my mother tongue Dutch for most of the time, but have done so in French, English and German as well. Sharing knowledge with my audience is satisfactory for me. Since the pandemic, I have also given online webinars, where I speak to an invisible audience, with minimal feedback. The positive side is that we can use time effectively and continue to share knowledge. As teacher I help you in conversations to gain confidence in talking the Dutch language. Advising on synonyms, how to say differently, all in the right context.

My passion to teach comes from wanting to help students reach their study goals as it is rewarding to see students improve in their learning and understanding. As I am learning a new language, I understand the importance of having a teacher who is adaptable in their teaching styles, someone who is calm and patient.

Although I have a technical background (Electrical Engineering / IT) I always had a desire to do more with languages and I have a talent for learning languages and teaching. During my IT career I also had to teach (the use of specific software etc.). At some point when it was time to find an other job, I made the change to become a full time language teacher. Since then I have been building up my experience at schools, in private lesson and very soon also through Skype.

Ik volg momenteel dus de opleiding tot docent Engels, met de motivatie om ooit in Hongarije aan het werk te gaan als leraar. De passie voor talen leren en mijn drang om mensen te willen helpen, zijn absoluut een motivatie om tot dit beroep uit te komen. I am experienced with teaching, because I do this at a high school for my internship. As I mentioned, I am doing the education of becoming an English teacher, with the hope of working in Hungary some day. The passion for learning languages and my will to help others, are absolutely a motivation to choose to become a language teacher.

I believe that I am very versatile when it comes to teaching languages. I am patient and flexible. I listen to the students needs. Also I think that I have an easy-going character, meaning that I can easily adapt to a certain way of teaching (everybody has another way of learning)
