Until 2011 I have taught Dutch at a high school in the Netherlands. Beside the normal classes I set up vocabulary training, provided exam training and much more. In addition, I have trained students who wanted to become a Dutch language teacher for years. After my high school career I started teaching Dutch as a foreign language in Thailand. I can proudly say that the average exam results of my students were always above the national average. To this day, I enjoy teaching. The interaction with the students makes it even more interesting and I like to share my knowledge of Dutch with others. I think that at the moment my qualities as a teacher work best with adult students.

I've been teaching for 25 years. It's something that I've always loved. My students seem to like my classes a lot. I'm dynamic and playful but I'm also dedicated to my students learning something that will provide them with the tools to make their lives better.

I've tutored students and volunteered as a Dutch teacher for immigrants in my city, both in private and group settings. I attended a Dutch University and worked for a local news website, so I have a professional and academic level of Dutch. I believe my experience helps me listen well and find out what makes you tick. It's not always easy to know where you need improvement, so I try to keep an eye on this and discuss it regularly. I work well with German students, because my grasp of German often helps me locate the source of confusion and spot 'false friends' - words that sound very similar but mean different things!

I'm a professional native Dutch teacher. I teach French (up to intermediate) and Dutch (all levels). I have taught adults and specialised in written communication while studying journalism.

As I mentioned, I am doing the education of becoming an English teacher, with the hope of working in Hungary some day. What can you expect from me? A fun way of learning and practising a language by just having fun conversations, using documents, pictures that you can describe and asking random fun questions. In that way you'll see you already know more than you probably first expected! I love languages and helping.. And apparently I'm pretty good at explaining something! Growing up, I always had a fascination for other languages and people. In Holland you see a lot of different nationalities, so it wasn't hard to find people that spoke other languages. I quickly learnt English and later Japanese and Spanish! (I have 3 kids, I help them with their Dutch & English as well! So I do have XP with Children).

I believe that I am very versatile when it comes to teaching languages. I am patient and flexible. I listen to the students needs. Also I think that I have an easy-going character, meaning that I can easily adapt to a certain way of teaching (everybody has another way of learning)

I studied science and technology at the Leeuwenborgh institute In the Netherlands and my job was training new employers to get ready for their job. In Thailand I started to teach at the local primary school of my village. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my TEFL certificate and did additional courses for natural learning, specially for kindergarten kids. I have experience teaching at kindergarten, primary school and secondary school as well as in business English.

My students profile me as a friendly, knowledgeable, patient full, teacher. I am teaching Dutch & English for over ten years. Dutch is my native language. I do have an excellent knowledge of the English language(C2 Level), as I grew up in a multicultural environment, which enabled me to inprove my language skills almost unconsciously in an effective way. I am currently based in the Far East where i am working as a professional teacher. The most satisfying part about my job is seeing the progress in my students language skills.

Although I have a technical background (Electrical Engineering / IT) I always had a desire to do more with languages and I have a talent for learning languages and teaching. During my IT career I also had to teach (the use of specific software etc.). At some point when it was time to find an other job, I made the change to become a full time language teacher. Since then I have been building up my experience at schools, in private lesson and very soon also through Skype.

Hi, my name is Kris. I am a native speaker Dutch, born in Flanders in the northern part of Belgium. I work for Dutch radio so I speak the language very clearly, without any accent. I can help you to learn Dutch or to improve your pronunciation.

My characteristics are Patient, Supportive, Precise, Humoristic, Interactive and Looking for a fun time. Not being a professional teacher, and not having a formal education in this, will make your learning experience more original. I am able to answer all of your questions relating to the language itself or the subject we will be handling. In that last regard I will be able to help you with business-related material (I've studied business for two years at a Dutch University, I have a Bachelors degree in Management and I've worked in some business-related positions), arts, science, technology, music, and more.

As a teacher I would describe myself as informal, friendly and patient. I have experience being a teacher with a Bachelor in social educational care. I will correct you where necessary while allowing you to make mistakes along the way as this is part of learning a new language. It's my goal to be of help and see my students improve. Right now i'm learning the Thai language so I am familiar with the challenge of learning a unfamiliar language :)

I started tutoring people in language and in math during my university days, and early on learned that patience is a big factor in making the student(s) learn comfortably. This comes from my experience at my secondary school where due to the high amount of cultural exchange and engagement you begin to understand that everyone has a different way of understanding things. It is also because of these experiences that I believe that the practical sessions are a little more important than the theory aspect of things. Hence I tend to put more focus on actual practicing of the speaking by having regular conversations so people are more adept to the everyday usage of the language.

Daarnaast ben ik ook rondleider in een medisch-historisch museum en heb ik ervaring met het overdragen van kennis. Bovendien geef ik ook colleges aan ouderen in verzorgingstehuizen en bibliotheken, dus ik vind het geweldig om te praten en in discussie te treden met anderen. Ik kan je daarom ook op verschillende manieren helpen met het verbeteren van je Nederlandse taal. Ik heb ervaring met zowel beginners als gevorderden en ik heb eigen ontworpen lesmateriaal beschikbaar om samen door te nemen. In het bijzonder heb ik ervaring met medische consultvoering in het Nederlands. Vanuit mijn opleiding geneeskunde heb ik meerdere patiëntgesprekken gevoerd en communicatielessen gehad.
