I studied Bachelor of Science and Business Administration (BSBA) in University of San Carlos. I have acquired a 120 hour teaching English as foreign language or TEFL certificate and 120 hour teaching english to speakers of other languages or TESOL certificate. I have been an online teacher for two years. I can teach basic and middle class students in English.

As a teacher being friendly is a great help so the students will feel comfortable with me. I teach with no pressure because I was a student before and I really know how it feels. Respect and Patience is my edge from any other teachers, but I can be funny sometimes.

Teaching is a noble profession. So I took methods of teaching to invest enough skills. I’ve been doing this craft for a few years now to a variety level of students; I’ve come across people with different levels of communication skills. Some love the language and others don’t like it that much. But, one thing they have in common is their belief that speaking well would be beneficial for them.

In my class I offer different types of lessons and all of these are tailored according to your needs. So just till me about your goals and we can start from there. During the class we can read articles, have a dialogue practice and talk about a certain topic. We can also just talk freely about anything under the sun. The best way to learn a language is to put it in practice so I expect you, the student to speak more in class. I believe this is very effective for you to be more confident in speaking. I also make sure that in each and every class it will be fun and instructive.

I offer grammar, listening, writing, speaking, and pronunciation classes in both English and Cebuano. I highly emphasize to every student to focus on speaking the language that he/she is mastering during every lesson, no matter how limited his/her speaking skills are, it is an effective way to boost confidence in speaking.

Teaching is my passion after all. I like to teach English and Cebuano Language and help many students realize their dream of becoming an excellent speaker. Honestly, seeing them learning using my teaching methods is a great privilege and honor. As your teacher I am patient , fun and ,creative. Being a teacher is a great job and that's what I love the most.

Though I don't have formal education in teaching, I've gotten a lot of experience using the languages I speak in practical situations. Working within customer service has been a big part of mastering the languages I teach here on iTalki, both in terms of language skills as well as refining my communication skills.

Teaching is really my passion, and I see language as a gift to humanity to interact with each other in an easy yet complicated way. That is why teaching language is something I truly enjoy. I value my students' time and money, and I consider their language-learning journey as my own. That is why, I strive hard for my students to learn the technicalities of the English language, such as phonology, vocabulary, grammar, etc. But more than that, I want to develop in my students the sense of confidence. Language should be an instrument for them to freely express their thoughts and feelings in a way that others understand them for what they truly mean.

I previously worked as a College Instructor and the experience was very valuable to me. I taught English, Literature, Philippine History, and Filipino subjects to college students or young adults. As a teacher, I always encourage participation in my class and also seek out opinions from my students with regard to class activities and projects. I am a patient and easy-going teacher, but with limits. Teaching, for me, is a great profession because I am able to contribute to their academic learning.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of the Philippines Visayas. I've been working as an online ESL teacher for a decade. In addition, I've proofread the dissertations of some graduate students at Yonsei University in South Korea. Throughout my teaching experience, I've met different kinds of students ranging from young to old and from beginning to advanced. My passion for teaching English stems from my sheer interest in helping others understand the language in a clear, fun way. It is my joy to impart my knowledge of English, not to mention grammar and vocabulary, to those who are genuinely interested and motivated to study it.

What makes an effective teacher is patience and teaching passionately with the right attitude creates passionate learners. Thus, making a positive impact on a student's life is making a difference to the world. I am a fun and happy person as well.
