I have been teaching Japanese at a private language school in Japan, Thailand, the United States over 5000 hours. I taught a wide range of students such as people who like Japanese culture or want to pass JLPT, businessmen, Japanese descent, kids and so on.
日本、タイ、アメリカの語学学校で5000時間以上教えています。これまで日本文化が好きな人、JLPT合格を目指す人、社会人、日系人、子供など、様々な生徒に教えてきました。
I can teach…
- real beginner to advanced students(all levels are welcome!)
超初級から上級の学生まで、どのレベルの人も教えることができます。
- conversation skills, vocabulary, grammar, writing, reading, and business Japanese
会話、言葉、文法、ライティング、リーディング、ビジネス日本語を教えることができます。

＜In the first lesson＞
・I check your level and hear your purpose and goal.
・I give you feedback on what you are able to do now and what you need to do for improving.
・I propose the lesson contents and plans.
＜Every 15 lessons (depending on lesson frequency)＞
・I check your level and hear your purpose and goal again.
・I give you feedback on your lessons so far and make future challenges.
- My lessons are very flexible. Feel free to tell me what you want to do.
- I usually teach by the direct method (only in Japanese).
- I’m skilled at correcting grammatical, speaking and pronunciation errors.

I super super love chatting with Megumi-sensei!! She's such an amazing conversationalist that I completely lost track of the time because I was having so much fun chatting with her!! I also really appreciate how she not only corrects what I'm saying but that she also gives suggestions for how to say things more naturally and gives me alternate ways of saying things. That way I always feel like I'm learning so much (grammar, vocab, usage) while also having SO much fun!! 楽しい話をありがとうございます！Looking forward to next lesson as always! :)

Very interesting lesson with Megumi-sensei! After studying Japanese with the Genki book for a few month, Megumi-sensei prepared a short exam to test how for I have got. This was interesting to see how far I have got and where I can work more to improve. Feedback from Megumi-sensei is always very helpful to get better. ありがとうございます。

I've really enjoyed my first lesson with Megumi Sensei; the hour just flew by! I really like how she always corrects my awkward speech and suggests more natural ways of expressing something. She has all the hallmarks of a great teacher! :)

Always fun doing lessons with Megumi-sensei! Doing grammar with a lot of conversation practice helps to get a feeling how Japanese is structured. ありがとうございます。

fantastic lesson as always! started to go into forming longer sentences, which I'm scared of, but Megumi always got my back. she is very supportive and assuring!
