I started teaching English in secondary schools and then continued with private Spanish lessons when I lived in Brazil. For me, teaching is an exchange, so I try to get ot know my students to prepare a lesson that's exactly for them. I'm very clear, flexible and creative, and I have many stories to share. I guess that's what my students love!
Empecé a dar inglés en escuelas secundarias y luego clases particulares de español cuando viví en Brasil. Para mí, enseñar es un intercambio, y por ello trato de conocer a mis estudiantes para preparar clases que sean adecuadas para ellos. I'd say I'm an alternative teacher and a very effective one. I really prepare each class according to my student: what he/she needs, what's his/her purpose, what's his/her best way of learning. I use plenty of multimedia material and try to give some cultural background to my lessons. In spanish, I know many accents, so I explain the different dialects of it.
Diría que soy una profesora alternativa y bastante efectiva. Realmente preparo cada clase según mi alumno: qué necesita, cuál es su propósito, cómo aprende mejor. Uso mucho material multimedia y siempre trato de dar un poco de contexto cultural a mis clases. En español, conozco muchos acentos, así que explico sus diferentes dialectos.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

I really enjoyed my lesson with Lucia. She made me feel very comfortable from the beginning and helped correct any errors that I made without disrupting the flow of the conversation. She is an excellent conversationist and I really enjoyed learning more about Latin American culture.

Lucia was the perfect conversation partner; supportive, easy to talk to, she provided corrections when needed and she took a genuine interest in every topic we spoke about. I loved the cultural bits about Latin America that she laid here and there during the call. Overall, wonderful lesson. I will definitely be scheduling more in the future

I have had 26 lessons with Lucia and am very happy with my progress. She prepares well for every class and is a great instructor.

Lucia is an excellent teacher who prepares for and customizes each lesson to maximize progress. She is very patient when I ask for clarification and is always able to answer my questions.
I am supplementing my lessons with Duolingo, Anki flashcards and a Conversation exchange partner.
I feel like I have made very good progress with Lucia.
