I'm a certified Spanish teacher and SIELE trainer. In addition, I regularly attend teaching conferences/courses to keep improving my teaching abilities and resources.
We'll work on developing your skills (writing, listening, reading, and speaking) and your learning strategies (summarizing, rephrasing, active listening, etc) as a whole to help you become a more independent learner.
I truly believe in intercultural and communicative teaching. In other words, I'll provide a diversified amount of materials and activities to prepare you for the real interactions you may face.

Student-centered: Each class will be tailored following the improvement areas that I may detect plus your own goals and interests.
"En la variedad está el gusto" which means that variety is the fuel of motivation. As I mentioned before, we'll use different physical and online materials within each planning.
Mistake friendly classroom. ¡Nadie es perfecto! We'll both might be mistaken sometimes but keep in mind that flaws are proof of our efforts.

I have taken more than 15 classes over the past 2 months with Andrea and she is a fantastic teacher! All the lessons are clearly structured and the homework material is useful. I would highly recommend Andrea to any student seeking to advance their Spanish to the next level.

Andrea is always well prepared for our lessons. She generously shares useful files and resources. She is an excellent communicator – speaks clearly, listens patiently, reads between the lines so that she can with the most useful comment. She is well versed in using Skype, and she provides on-screen word references to enhance clarity. She went out of her way to design a special set of five lessons for me – a speaking refresher course to help build my confidence before going on a trip to Mexico. I heartily recommend her.

Andrea is an amazing teacher! Very knowledgeable and super patient. She has tons of resources such as articles, audio files, video clips, etc. She listens to what you say and tailors her lessons to your interests. Additionally, she is super organized and tracks the topics we've covered and errors I've made in a shared google doc. Looking forward to more lessons!
