Hello! My name's Shimaa... but please call me Shima. I'm an English teacher from Egypt. I'm 38 years old. I'm a dedicated, hard-working, ambitious, and passionate teacher. I love spending time to teach others how to speak English. I also enjoy meeting new people, learning about new cultures, cooking, exercising, and most importantly - chatting with people from around the world in English language. I love playing the guitar in my free time and reading English stories. I love going to the beach when I don't feel okay. So, I always travel to Alexandria or Hurghada with my family and have fun there. I'm also a type of outgoing, open to new ideas, and funny person as my friends say about me.عني كمعلّم
I have a B.A. degree of languages and translation English department. I also have a TEFL certificate that qualifies me to teach English as a foreign language. I've been teaching English for 16+ years for all ages and levels. Teaching has provided me a challenge to assist students achieve their language goals. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My lessons are student-centered; less me talk time and more you talk time. During my lessons, we can talk about the subjects that you are interested in. I always adapt my pace of teaching to the pace of student's learning. I am open to all levels of learners, from absolute beginners to advanced students. The typical lesson will include conversation, with focus targeting certain aspects of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, or any other challenging element. I'll use games, songs, videos, and various other activities to make learning English fun! I'd like my students to be confident when speaking and I'll be there to teach you every step of the way! We talked about the questions Shima gave me for homework some weeks ago. Told me my mistakes and helped me understand the meanings of the words. She shared with me what type of learner she is and made a hell of a nice mini conversation about movies that gives you a boost to continue with the object you have decided to do or about your choices you've made. Also, Shima gave me a front to decide what kind of exercise I want to make vocabulary, speaking, grammar, etc. In our speaking exercise I was in the position where I had to describe pictures with as many forming sentences as I could use!
Always after our lesson I fell that I learned something useful and add to my english field more than what I had before. Such a nice choice to make.
