I have been tutoring Malay to non-native speakers since 2019, and I currently manage I Wanna Learn Malay resources on Youtube. دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I would encourage learners to just start speaking, don't worry about getting it right.
But for each new student, I would need to gauge their abilities and outline the necessary lessons required to kick start our lessons together.
Lesson would involve reading and pronunciation, sentence structure and (a little bit of) grammar, and surely vocabulary building.
