Hi, My name is Shine, and I'm from the Philippines! I speak my country's language, Filipino, but also my province's native language which is Ilonggo/Hiligaynon. And of course, I speak English as well. :) I am a graduate of Bachelor in Religious Education and at one time I also studied Bachelor of Arts in Political Science but opted to change my course instead. I have also experienced online teaching for two years and catered different students from children to adult.
My hobbies are reading books, watching movies, surfing the net and cooking.. I also have various skills like writing poems/songs and singing.
教学经验
I would say I’m strict but fair when it comes to teaching. I believe when students are challenged with realistic goals and given the support they need not to just get the answers right but to be able to use those learning to solve future problems on their own, everyone comes out on top. I also think that as a teacher, it’s my job to support my students through the lessons I give, but also through the various challenges they may face during lessons, and to partner with them as well as other support systems to help them feel motivated, comfortable, and happy in learning new languages.
我提供的课程和我的教学风格
My teaching style is primarily centered on class engagement.I adapt my teaching style in order to cater for everyone and make the material as interesting as possible and sufficiently flexible enough.
I like to use some exercises, colorful PowerPoint slides and even videos where possible to demonstrate my learning points. I believe this is something which increases student interest significantly, and from my experience, leads to a better learning experience overall.
I am highly effective at behavioral management, and focus on the three R’s of RESPECT, RESPONSE and the RIGHT way to learn. These have served me well over time.
