Languages are my favorite hobby. I study them everyday, and can relate the struggle to improve your skills. In addition to using my language learning experience, I also draw on my previous years of experience teaching different people of different ages and with different English levels. I currently offer two classes. My formal classes are highly focussed on improving the technical aspects of your English. A curriculum can be created to help you achieve both your short and long term objectives whilst focussing on improving any areas of weakness. My formal classes can also be designed to help you prepare for examinations such as ILETS. I can also set homework tasks if required. I can talk about a wide variety of topics and I believe that lessons should be centred around the student and each lesson should be individually tailored to meet the students needs. My lessons will be focussed on your needs and your learning style.

I've been teaching English professionally for 7+ years now. I am now a full-time online teacher and use the best technology to teach in the most efficient way possible. I used to teach English in Oxford to mainly adult students from beginners to advanced speakers. Before this, I worked at a tutoring centre in London. I mainly taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) but I also taught GCSE and A-Level (high school level) English Language and Literature.

Almost five years now, and perhaps 6000 hours of online teaching. I make liberal use of online materials, and I like englishclub.com, ABC Radio National, TED Wolfram Coursera EDX, and recently linguapress.com. My sessions are particularly free and subject to your wishes, needs and goals. I am equally happy to chit-chat, or address deep and troubling issues, to delve into science grammar technology. There is no set agenda, but I expect us to set up a basis for the coming sessions. Intermediate to advanced students only please.

I like to focus my lessons on my student's interests. I believe that the best way to learn a language is to learn the vocabulary that is focused on your personal interests, and to expand from there. Having quite a bit of experience in learning languages (English, French, German and Japanese) I hope to share the tips and tricks which I have picked up.

I love getting to know my students, learning about their lives and helping them to grow, to learn and to become more happy and confident. Teaching has been a core element of many jobs I have had in the last 25 years. I began teaching yoga and meditation in 2010, dance in 2014 and working 1on1 over Skype giving personal development sessions since 2018. I am patient, intuitive, encouraging and very good at helping people to feel comfortable. I have an extensive background in education and I am a qualified English Teacher and Business English Teacher. I have been teaching a range of subjects for over ten years and my experience has taught me that every student is unique. So, I like to take the time to understand how my students learn, what their language learning goals are and their motivation for learning. I started teaching English to immigrants in the United States in 2003. I continued to teach off and on for awhile, then I become certified in 2011- and I've been giving private English lessons full-time ever since. I can say that I have plenty of experience (in total over 12 years; 9 years full-time) teaching ESL learners. I'm a teacher who spends time on my students outside of lessons. I plan lessons, I write and send notes to my students after every lesson, I help students who need something small edited or proofread, and I spend time learning about the student's native language and finding quick solutions to the problems that they may face.

I love teaching conversational English and helping students practise the conversational elements of the IELTS exam. I am very easy to talk to, and will always adapt to the topic in question. I have a neutral British accent, which is very easy to understand. I have completed a 150 hour TESOL course as well as a 120 hour TEFL course, and have taught online and in person for several years. Patience is a key attribute of mine, so there is absolutely no need to feel embarrassed if you are struggling with anything. I like to remind students of their progress and help them stay motivated rather than let them dwell on any nuances they have not yet mastered.

My lessons would be conversation-based practices. I want to make sure conversations are fun and engaging, and that the student feels encouraged each time they speak in English. I also offer grammar lessons, where we can review any grammar, reading, or writing needs you may have.

I have experience of teaching English in Ecuador I have taught Swedish with the Nordic Society at University College London (UCL). I enjoy teaching languages primarily because of the lovely people I get to met along the way. I love sharing my passion for reading and for great films with my students. Other people's curiosities invite me to explore new fields so that I can be a bridge for them.
