I've been over a year since I taught Korean to learners who want to learn it. Also, the experience of teaching English learners is more than 7 years. From young students to adult learners, I taught with basic English and conversation. And the order of Korean and English grammar is the opposite. I taught English grammar according to the student's ability. It also led people from various nationalities to meet and study Korean from two years ago. First of all, I majored in elementary education which teaches all kind of subjects to elementary kids. Therefore, since I was 20, I've taught various age groups from 5 years old kid to adults. The languages I taught were mainly Korean, English, and Chinese characters(한자). I have an experience staying in Canada when I was little, so I can speak English as well. Also, I used to help many foreign students in my college so that they can learn Korean language and culture. I enjoyed it very much, and that's why I like being a Korean teacher in Italki. Studied language and education in university: majored in language and education, and studied further about language teaching for three years to get a government-issued teacher certificate (succeeded in getting the certificate in 2011). 2. Started my teaching career in high school: for four years, I taught high school students (aged 16-18) in Gyeonggi province, Korea. Back then, I was a quite young and passionate teacher. 3. As Korean teacher in Hong Kong: with great chances, I happened to meet various students who want to learn Korean for various reasons. From teaching Korean alphabet to discussing economic issues in Korean, I taught lots of students with various Korean levels.

A Korean who grew up and lived in Korean speaks the Korean language well. Even if a Korean speaks the Korean language well, all of them are not good at teaching the language. The reason is that, speaking the language and teaching it is different. So, I think the teaching skill is very important for teachers. The reasons I will teach well is... 1) I am teaching my kids, Korean school, and Sejong Hakdang for many years. While I was teaching for many years, I learned how to teach a second language as Korean and English. 2) A good thing about me is I am good at teaching and I love my student. 3) I also know how it feels to learn a new language because I learned a second language English.

I have been tutoring Korean since when I studied at university. I had many opportunities to meet foreign students and to teach them Korean. Also, I have taught Korean to Russian employees at Korean companies. I know about the struggles of learning new languages, I have been through that process. The biggest thing I realized during tutoring and learning new languages is that the alphabet, basic grammar, writing and reading are all important, but the most important thing is to enjoy learning with confidence.

I am a professional Korean teacher. Now I live in Jeonju in Korea. I have been teaching on italki since 2017, but I first started in 2011. I was in an exchange program in Tanzania in the university and I helped some children speak Korean at Hangeul school. It was a new experience for me and I had a really good time with them. After that, when I traveled to Southeast Asia, I met some foreigners who were interested in Korean culture especially K-pop and K-dramas. I found out people feel happy to have a conversation in a foreign language with a native speaker. Those experiences made me think teaching Korean might be one of the wonderful things I can do. That’s why I got a certificate.

I have three years of teaching experience. And I've taught more than three hundred students. As a language teacher, I try to use different materials. For a smooth process of teaching Korean, I use textbooks, pdf files, videos(Korean drama and documentary), books, and K-pop music.
