Ich habe in Bremen über sechs Jahre als eine professionelle und zertifizierte Lehrkraft für Deutsch als Zweitsprache gearbeitet. Durch meine Lehrerfahrungen mit vielen Menschen aus aller Welt habe ich genau verstehen können, wie und womit man am besten deutsche Sprache lernen kann. Ich versuche dabei, die besonderen Lernschwierigkeiten von Lernenden genau zu analysieren und zu verstehen. So kann ich die Lernenden am besten motivieren, indem ich mit deren Schwierigkeiten und nicht zuletzt deren Stärke einfühlsam umgehe.

Ich arbeite in Deutschland in verschiedenen Sprachschulen. Ich unterrichte allgemeines und berufsbezogenes Deutsch. In meinem Unterricht benutze ich Bilder, Fotos, Zeitschriftartikel und Filme. Ich habe mit verschiedenen Altersgruppen gearbeitet (ab 15 Jahren).

It is very helpful to understand German grammar well, but it is the practical application of the rules that really leads to swift and lasting progress. My lessons are therefore designed around getting you to speak, read and write asap. I will help you to understand the HOWs and WHYs of German grammar in ways that are practical and will make you a more confident user of the language. We will also make sure you are using the language well, not just correctly. Beauty and formal quality matter a lot. If done in this way, learning German needn't be as difficult as you may imagine or have experienced in the past. It can – and should – be a luxury that you are motivated to indulge in frequently.

I have been teaching German for 20 years and I have tutored people from all walks of life and age, ranging from university students to corporate executives. I tailor your studies to fit your unique learning style and I am happy to accompany you on your journey to learning German. Meeting people from all over the world inspires me. That’s why I studied English and French in an interpreter school and attended classes in Japanese and Arabic. This taught me the challenge of learning a language. Before we start with the lessons, I will evaluate your current level and your goals with learning the language. I will also find out what kind of exercises and assignments you prefer, as I am well aware, that every student needs a different approach. I am a very patient teacher with a good sense of humor who is convinced, that it´s a lot easier to learn a language while having a good time. Ich unterrichte seit dem Jahr 2008 Deutsch als Fremdsprache (Grundschule, Gymnasium und Berufsschule) und gehe individuell auf meine Lerner ein. In den Jahren 2015/16 habe ich eine zusätzliche Ausbildung zum Trainer für Deutsch als Fremd- bzw. Zweitsprache gemacht. Ich habe dann zuerst in Österreich Deutschkurse für Asylwerber abgehalten. Seit 2016 unterrichte ich zunehmend auch im Internet. In 2015/16 I completed additional education as a trainer for German as a foreign or second language. Then I first taught German for asylum seekers in Austria. Since 2016 I have been teaching more and more online.

I have been teaching many students for three years, so I have already some experience in teaching. I am a very patient teacher. It is no problem for me to repeat things, which my student did not understand. In September 2020 I started working as a science teacher at an international school, teaching children from the age of 8 to 12. After completing a 120 hour TEFL course, I also started working as a private English tutor for 5 to 12-year-old children. Since I started working as a teacher I realized how much I enjoy teaching and seeing my students make progress. So I decided to start teaching the language that I feel most comfortable with - German.

For several years now, I have had numerous video calls with people from many countries of all continents including a lot of English, French and Spanish native speakers, practising my own foreign languages and helping them to improve their German. So if you speak any of the languages mentioned above, I can assure you that I am very well aware of the typical challenges you encounter with regards to German grammar and pronunciation. I prefer an informal and relaxed teaching style. My goal as a teacher is that you get the most out of the class. How do I want to achieve that? 1) Create a comfortable atmosphere: You have to be relaxed and feel comfortable in order to learn. I will try to create a very comfortable atmosphere so you can concentrate on the lesson. 2) Teaching a fun class: The class should be fun and interesting, that’s when we get the best results. I would love to know about topics that interest you and consider them in my preparation of the class. 3) Speak as much German as possible: You have to get used to the structure, the sound and the rhythm of the language. That's why I want to encourage you that we speak as much German as possible during the class.
