I have past experience in which I have taught English to people of different ages and different levels. I am a professional teacher and I speak three languages. Hence, I understand the challenges and frustration that come with learning a new language. I can assure you that I have all the patience to help you reach your desired goals.

I have a passion for tutoring IsiZulu and English. I would say my enthusiasm for tutoring has been a natural progression of my love for being a student. While others love playing instruments and some playing sports, I love going to school. I have also completed the 120 hour TEFL course for personal development and to improve my skills as a tutor. I am a calm, versatile and open-minded instructor who likes to use humour to build a comfortable space to make mistakes and learn from them- because that is what learning is all about

As a teacher i create a very easy to learn platform for students for them to learn freely and for them to be the best. to achieve the above my students will be tested gradually from easy,medium to hard levels to ensure that they receive quality skills in our session.

The first thing I do is to allow students to be comfortable,to make mistakes. Learning a new language can be quite intimidating but if the teacher is approachable it enables a flowing conversation which is the basis or beginning rather of learning anything in life.

I am patient and understanding. like to find a pace that makes sense for my students however I may throw a challanges your way every now and then. I like to keep my lessons casual and light hearted, see me more like your international study buddy.

I am a laid back easy going teacher, here to make your learning experience fun and interesting. You are welcome to make suggestions on how you would like your lessons to be structured. I understand the difficulties of learning a new language hence why I can assure you that I have all the patience to help you learn and reach your goals.

I’m a firm believer in letting conversation flow. I generally leave any remarks or pointers I have for my students for later on in the lesson. This ensures that I don’t interject a flowing conversation. I assume that everyone is a beginner in my class, therefore I’ll teach you the basics. I speak 5 South African languages so I understand the patience required to learn a new language.

I believe that when you teach a language it should not be done through a formal parrot learning fashion but a fun and interactive approach. I teach the Zulu language by involving my learners young and old of all ages through songs, poems, fun games, videos, stories, live classroom dialogues, real-life experiences (example is the Zulu culture) and PowerPoint Presentations which is all through simple Zulu communicative vocabulary. Extra learning material is provided to my learners to complete after lessons such as homework which I will also go through in the live lesson to track your progress or provide any assistance that you need.

A patient and kind teacher, willing to help with any difficulties that a student might be facing during their learning journey. My teaching style is both academic and practical, I believe in a more engaging approach to teaching which allows learners to better grasp their subject and enhance their command of any language that would like to master. Though my education is not in the teaching discipline I have experience mentoring and teaching teaching children from a local children's home in both English and isiZulu. This experience with children has lead me to teaching online and also pursuing a professional level 5 Teaching English as a Second Language certificate through the TEFL Academy.
