My goal is for you to become *proficient* in the language - versus being able to recite grammar rules or memorized phrases. I believe humans become proficient in a language as a by-product of being engaged in communication. This means we learn a language when we understand it and when we communicate meaning. My teaching is based on a contemporary communicative approach that is informed by current research on Second Language Acquisition. I incorporate techniques from TPR (Total Physical Response), TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) and task-based language learning.

Both my parents were teachers so I guess teaching is in my blood. Whenever a student reaches a goal, speaks fluently or passes an exam, it makes me so happy and so proud of him/her. It's as simply (or complicated) as that. As a student of many other languages I know the struggles the students go through, so my job is not only teaching the language per se but also identifying these obstacles and help the students tackle them

In my classes I am very patient and I try to keep my students motivated, because languages are important tools that will give them great opportunities in life. I think pronunciation is very important, so I can be very helpful when it comes to learning the pronunciation. I like making my classes fun, I have my own material and I always try to give my students exactly what they want: grammar instructions, more vocabulary or conversation practice.Also I always try to be fun and I intend to be innovative. So I use fun excercises to write and speak. I always look forward to improving my teaching style because I want to be an excellent teacher and person.

Mi vocación es la enseñanza. Soy Doctor (Ph.D) en Literatura hispánica por la Universidad de Montreal. Antes terminé una maestría en la misma universidad para poder comenzar el doctorado. También estudié arte. Cuento con una licenciatura y un diploma de profesor en Bellas Artes obtenidos en la Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina). Y también hice una maestría en "Arts visuels et médiatiques" en la Université de Québec en Montreal. Además de Español, enseñé arte, literatura y cine hispanoamericanos, y también otras materias relacionadas con las culturas hispánica y latina. I discovered I wanted to be a full-time teacher when I moved to Poland and started to teach sporadically. After I came back to Spain I took a course on teaching skills and started to teach independently. And I loved it! The more I tough the more I liked it... and I still love it. I have helped many students over the last 6 years to be confident when speaking Spanish. My area of expertise is verbs and conjugations. So if you need help understanding the different kinds of past tenses to be sure I have plenty of resources to help you with that. I have helped many students to successfully use past tenses. When it comes to my personal qualities I would identify as very patient and supportive.

Ya sea que necesites mejorar tu expresión oral, escrita, entender conceptos de gramática, lo que sea, podemos abordarlo en clase. Además, si tu interés es aprender el español que se habla en Latinoamérica, y especialmente en México, puedo ayudarte a comprender mejor la lengua hablada y el lenguaje coloquial de los mexicanos.

I consider myself a very supportive and patient teacher. My sessions are centered in the student, therefore I bring them company, guide and support, but they are the only protagonists who must construct their own knowlegde of the target language in the way that is most convenient for them, that's why, I like being someone very flexible, who gets adapted to the student needs, with the only aim to make it easier and enjoyable this long and not always very easy process of foreing language acquisition. Like in any other profession, being up to date is very important, so participating in trainings that help teachers to improve their performance in class are always part of my schedule.
