Seit meiner ersten Unterrichtserfahrung vor nunmehr 10 Jahren weiß ich, dass ich Deutsch unterrichten will. Mittlerweile habe ich Erfahrung in Deutschland, Italien, Österreich, Spanien und Großbritannien gesammelt und mit den unterschiedlichsten Zielgruppen gearbeitet. I am a very calm person which enables me to fully point my attention towards the student. I strive to cater my student with topics according to their levels. Never too easy, but just right to make my students sweat a little. I know how to motivate students in the right moments, in order for them to have fun while learning and having a guaranteed stamina. As I am from northern Germany, I have a big advantage over other German teachers. I speak "Hochdeutsch", which is a dialect and accent free version of German. Everybody will be able to understand you and you will be capable of understanding everyone, when you learn with me. Especially in the south and east people have strong dialects, which are not very easy to understand, even for natives. Languages and teaching have always played a major role in my life. My first teaching experiences go back to when I was 12 years old, I helped friends with French. At the age of 15, it was drawings for art classes, and later on English and German. As a linguist at the university, the seminars were a bit more theoretical, but not only. Seminars such as Old English or The Development of Languages were actually quite practical in nature. Since I was also responsible for the training of future teachers, I did a lot of research in the field of second language acquisition, which influenced my own teaching style a lot.
