I welcome everyone to join me in learning the French and Romanian languages. I try to understand the student's rhythm. Years of teaching have shown me that simply applying a methodology where the student himself deduces the grammar of the target language, does not always work. I still find students who ask me for verb lists to be read and memorized! Therefore, I try to mix the current methodology, where the student, little by little, deduces, feeling the internal rule of the language, as well as a little repetition and exercises for the crystallization of the contents. I had experience with different ages, however, lately, I have been teaching more to an Asian audience, which made me rethink all teaching methods used until then.

I majored in French and Slavic linguistics (Russian and Czech) but I also have a C2 degree of the Goethe-Institute in German. I have taught French, German, Russian and Czech for about 20 years and I can offer you a big variety of teaching methods and materials. As I am a passionate language learner as well, I know how difficult it is to learn a foreign language. I am a very patient teacher: I adapt my teaching methods, speed and style to your preferences, interests and needs. I use to teach internationally, so I have a very flexible timetable, teaching early in the morning, late at night as well as on weekends, holidays and during Christmas, Easter and Summer leaves.

I customize the classes for every student depending on their levels, their needs, their interests and their objectives. I meticulously prepare each class using adapted and certified educational materials that I select for each student and I constantly offer extra exercices and activities as homework in between classes upon request from my students. I offer not only general French classes, but also conversational classes for intermediate and advanced levels. I also offer French exam preparation courses for students who are planning to take the DELF or TEF exams.

I am skilled in teaching French and Arabic. I am able to make a conversation with the students by explaining to them how to speak well the French language and the Arabic language.! I have a great experience of teaching French as a second language and I have taught a lot of students how to succeed in DELF exams from level A1 to level B2. During all the years that I was teaching, I had students from all ages and from different cultural backgrounds and I should say that I learned a lot from all of them and I am grateful for every single moments that I spent with them. J'enseigne maintenant depuis quelques années: après avoir cotoyé divers publics, j'enseigne aujourd'hui à l'université en France. Adepte des nouvelles technologies et des jeux, je privilégie beaucoup l'aspect oral dans mes cours. Pour rien au monde je ne changerais de profession !

I believe in helping you master French as it is spoken/written by actual French speaking people, not textbooks. This means adapting the material and language level to the situation. Indeed, we don’t usually speak in daily life the way a journalist does on the news. And we don’t write a formal report as we would an email to a friend. So knowing your goals and why you are learning French is essential.

I adapt what students need. Then, communication and ambience are first parts that I concern because when teacher and students have good communication and happy, the goal of learning will be achieved.

I have been a dance teacher for 40 years, so that I am sure I love teaching! At some times in the past, I have also given private language lessons at home, but it was hard to fit them into my family life. Now with italki offering online teaching, I am pleased to come back to it. I see teaching fundamentally as a way of communicating. Before starting to instil any skill in my dance students, I try to reach out to each of them and establish the open channel that is key to learning. This is how I am able to teach the difficult technique of classical ballet to complete adult beginners, women and men. Learning a language is no different and I will offer you my complete attention and support.

I can guarantee you that i'm not your typical boring teacher because i aim to make my lessons fun and interactive, i can interest you in many different topics each week to make you more comfortable in taking initiative to start a conversation and to learn new vocabulary . Mon expérience professionnelle m'amène à privilégier les cours avec des adultes ou de jeunes adultes (à partir de 16-17 ans) ayant déjà quelques bases en français (niveau "faux-débutant", A1-A2 du CECR). As a teacher, I really aim to motivate my students to learn as much as they can and to achieve their goals in their target language. I use Paulo Freire's critical pedagogy to connect the student's life and interests to the class's content, sparking meaningful reflections and debates.

I'm looking for students of all levels, with all sorts of needs. I can provide a clear introduction on basic Italian grammar and vocabulary as well as deeper insight into them through a communicative approach.
